When I decided to get super fired up for 60 and to prove a point, I was so sick of hearing this, like, it's a downhill slide. I'm like, all right, well, what if it's not? I thought, you know, I'm going to get in the best shape of my life for 60. I hadn't done a DEXA body scan since 39. And so I actually trained for it. I upped my calories because I was like, if you really want to focus on putting on muscle, if it's your number one goal, you're better off just doing that, upping your calories, not a ton, but some, and doing that. And I literally did. It was a little bit of a mental game because I I was like, all right, you're doing this on purpose, right? But I went in and my DEXA scan at 39 and at 59 were exactly the same. Same muscle, same fat-free mass, same fat mass, same weight. And then I knew what I'd been in my 20s. And because I'd put this on, I now ripped down. I did a cutting phase and went straight down to where I'd been in my 20s. But the cool thing is I'm actually stronger than I was in my 20s. Wow. That happens. And so it's possible, like it is possible to do these things.
