A lot of them contain harsh chemicals like dyes, preservatives, and even UV brighteners. Those brighteners don't actually clean anything. They just coat fabric so your eyes think things look whiter or brighter. That's more chemicals I don't want on my family sheets or skin. And if you've got sensitive skin or allergies around the house, this can be a big problem. That's what got my attention about Earth Breeze. It looks like a dryer sheet, but it's actually laundry detergent. You toss one in the washer and that's it. No pouring, no mess, and no heavy plastic jug. Their packaging is lightweight cardboard, which helps reduce plastic waste. And if you choose the fragrance free option, it's gentle, hypoallergenic, non irritating and non sensitizing. I really like how simple it is and how fresh and clean everything comes out without those unnecessary chemicals. Right now you can try Earth Breeze for up to 40% off with free gifts@earthbreeze.com virgin that's earthbreeze.com virgin for up to 40% off plus free gifts on.

Hey, it's JJ Virgin. And welcome to the JJ Virgin Lifestyle show where I talk nutrition, exercise and mindset with some of the coolest people in the world. Plus I give you tips that you can put into fast action to uplevel your health and go out there and live that big life you're meant to live. Now today's show is about believing is seeing. You'll see it when you believe. It's been one of my favorite mantras for years and years and years that Wayne Dyer always talked about. And I have someone amazing to jump into this with and it's my old buddy, meaning old. We've been friends for a long time, Sean Croxton from Underground Wellness. And what's so interesting, we went out to lunch a couple weeks ago and we're both talking because we're both now health people who are doing this sidestep into personal development because we both had this realization that, oh my gosh, they all go together and mindset actually is key. And what I'm going to talk about today during our interview is what actually was the most important part of saving my son and making sure that he lived and it wasn't the doctors. I'll give you a hint there. So let me tell you a little bit about Sean and then we'll dive into today's topic. Sean's an awesome author, entrepreneur and consultant and he is on a mission to wake people up. So he was a personal trainer and a health coach. He started back in 2007 when he launched Underground Wellness, which was just one of the just a super cool health based channel that then became a radio show. I was on it. I think a ton of us in the health world have been on Underground Wellness. He ran it for seven years, almost 350 episodes. And then he started doing summits and he produced seven online summit events. He had thyroid sessions, digestive sessions, depression sessions, and he also created Jerf Just eat real food. So one of the things that Sean's doing and always has done, he's has always been a leader he's always been an innovator. He's always been a disruptor. And last year he decided he wanted to step into the personal development space. It's been his passion. He wasn't feeling his passion about health anymore. He stepped into personal development and dove in. And he's been mentoring with some amazing people. And so now he started the sessions with Sean Croxton. He's gone into interviews with self help writers, Internet entrepreneurs, modern day game changers, and he's now going to head first headstrong into educating and reaching million people and teaching them how to discover and develop the hidden powers that lie dormant within them so that they may go out and create the lives they love. So you can tell why we are so simpatico. And I was so excited to bring Sean Croxton on the show today. All right, let's do it. Sean Croxton, welcome to the show. I'm so glad you're here with me today.
I'm so glad to be here with you. Jj Virgin, thanks so much.
You are in this interesting shift that I am super excited about because we've all known you for years as the dude with Underground Wellness, and you're about to do something, you're about to explode out in the scene with something else. So let's just kind of dive into how you got started and then what happened? What triggered this shift you're making?
Well, I started online about 10 years ago. I think it was late 2006, maybe early 2007, when YouTube at first got started, me being a guy who would lay around the house and read books about health, I was very, very passionate about it. I saw this as a vehicle, YouTube, as a vehicle to get this information out to more people. So I made my first video. People loved it. I made my second video, people loved that as well. And I just kind of kept going. And I saw it as being something that I can really grow, make a business out of, and really help a lot of people with. From there, I started a podcast in about 2008 called Underground Wellness Radio, which went for about seven years, and, you know, created products and it was, you know, promoted a lot of people, had a lot of fun, helped a lot of people. But I got to a point, gosh, probably around this time last year, where I just was not as passionate about it as I was before. It became more of a job than it was a passion of mine. And it just felt like work and it felt like I was doing what people expected of me. And, you know, of course there was A good living behind it. You know, I was making a really good living doing it, and I enjoyed it. It just wasn't what I wanted to do anymore. So, you know, I found myself. I take, like, what I read very seriously about, like, what I value and where I was reading a lot about health, like, 90% of what I used to read is about health. I found myself gravitating more toward personal development. And so I said, you know what? I can't continue to do something that I don't want to do anymore, so let's go do something new and use this whole model that I built, but for something else, which is personal development.
And, you know, it's so interesting. Shawn, I know we talked about this because we're kind of in the same place. That's why I'm super excited about this shift for you. Is shouldn't they really be so closely integrated anyway?
Yeah, they certainly should be, and it would be amazing. Of health practitioners, new personal development and personal development, people knew how to help get people more healthy, but it just. There's only so much that we can learn in so much time. And, you know, I think one of my one thing that I really wanted to do in the health space was to help people to find the root cause of their health conditions. And for a long time, I felt like I was doing it. And actually I did for a lot of people. I get emails from people saying, oh, my God, you helped me to find out that my thyroid problem was caused by this, and I was able to do this because of it. But I also feel like there's a lot of people whose root causes for their illnesses have to do with what's going on inside of their heads and how they're using their minds. I remember being a functional diagnostic nutrition practitioner, and, you know, most of my clients, as much as I love them, I thought that a lot of their issues were just stinking thinking. You know, I know a lot of practitioners who are like, oh, my God, I love my job, but I'm having a hard time with the people. And it's like, you know, that's your job.
It is the people that is.
That. That is their job. But they're like, oh, my God, I just want to create a program so I can teach other practitioners how to do it, because it's just really hard. You got to wonder, like, what came first? Was it the illness or was it the way that they thought?
And the thing is, Sean, even. It doesn't even actually matter. You can't disconnect the Two.
Right, Right. Exactly. And I feel like there's a lot of people who actually, most people really are getting out of bed going, damn, I gotta go to this job that I hate. You know, they're just living lives that they don't want to live. They're settling. They put their dreams just off to the side in order to do something else, to feel secure and comfortable. And inside, they know that that's not right. And they live with that every single day. And they. And I think that that creates. And John demartini has done a lot of work on this, and I need to study more of that. You know, people who aren't living, their values, people who aren't doing what they love. It sets up a chemistry within the body, a catabolic chemistry within the body. It puts them into that sympathetic fight or flight state, you know, and instead of creating their own lives, they tend to disintegrate, you know, who they are. And that can lead to health problems.
Absolutely. And just. I'm thinking of my son. You know, I told you this story of my son. Had I not approached that with the right mindset, he would be dead. It is just that simple. So, you know, it really is the first step towards everything is this piece of it.
You had a belief that he was gonna get better, and you were persistent about it. You wouldn't let anybody tell you that.
No, I inspired them.
Yeah. People need to take that mentality into their health, but they're not, unfortunately. So we need people like me, like you, and others to help people to get that piece of the puzzle. And it's a foundational piece of the puzzle on which the rest of the puzzle is built.
So looking at people now, you know, what do you think this, like, the big thing. What's the number one thing that people are missing in their lives?
I think people are missing understanding why they do what they do and why they don't do the things that they really want to do. I think that is incredibly important. I think people need to find out why they sabotage themselves. I think people need to know how they've been programmed. And, you know, I've been wr called the one percenter's mind. And that's what a lot of it is about. It's about this conditioning that we got from age. You know, from birth to about six or seven years old, when our subconscious mind was wide open, we really didn't have an opportunity or the capability to accept or reject thoughts. And during that time, we got programmed with very likely a lot of beliefs that really aren't ours. They're our parents beliefs or they're our grandparents beliefs that it just got passed down from generation to generation and landed upon us. You know, some of those beliefs might be in the house space. We can say, you got to finish your plates, you can't waste food, Food is for celebration, things like that. It could be if you're trying to build a business. Rich people are bad, rich people are greedy. You have to get a great education in order to get a good job. Be satisfied what you have. And I think a lot of people have this subconscious programming. And this is subconscious programming that actually is the seat of our actions, right? That's what we do. We do what we've been programmed to do, even though we're like trying to consciously do something else. We've consciously set a New Year's resolution to lose £20. And then on January 20, we completely forgotten all about it. We're in front of like, you know, the cupcake shop, ready to go. And that's how we operate. And I think it's really important again for people to understand what's going on inside the mind and how to change it. Because getting healthier is all about changing your habits. And a lot of the habits, actually most of the habits that we have are fixed in our subconscious mind. Again, they've been programmed there. And there's a way to undo those. And that's what I'll write about in the book.
Gotta hear this all, Sean. And I wonder how you basically are saying you're gonna go back and look at every part of your life, because then you start to go, well, what's real, what's not real, what's actually serving me, what's not. How do you figure it out?
Well, you figure it out by number one, looking at where you're sabotaging yourself, right? If you've been setting a goal to lose weight and you continue to sabotage yourself over and over and over again, then you're gonna. You do have these subconscious beliefs. There is something inside of you that's keeping you from moving forward. And as you figure out what that is, you can actually unprogram yourself and you can. We probably don't have enough time for it today, but you can use meditation, you can use affirmations, you can create a goal. I think a lot of people have a hard time making a decision about what it is that they want to do without realizing that not making a decision is actually making a decision to fail. Right? People don't understand that. And so I feel like, people need to learn how to decide. I think people need to learn how to be persistent. I think people need to learn how to do their own thinking. I think a lot of us, we try to think for ourselves, but we allow other people from the outside to influence what we're thinking and the decisions that we make. And so it's, again, we're not going to have enough time to cover it here. You know, when we first came on there, you're like, oh, we're going to go about 12 to 15 minutes. And I was like, oh, my God, how am I going to talk in 12 to 15 minutes?
You're going to give them your ebook. Because honestly, you've already stirred up enough as you do. You're a disruptor. And that's what I love the most about you. Like, you really were one of the leading forces in starting bringing all the health online and getting more information out to people. And then you saw this hole. And it's so interesting to see you now take this. Is that this real hole into us getting better, whether it's our health or our business or relationships, really first starts to come with personal development. And you talk about. And I love this line, by the way, because, you know, I'm a big Wayne Dyer fan. He always talked about, you'll see it when you believe it. And you have your mantra as believing is seeing. So let's dive into that one.
Yeah, we have these things called our five senses, and that, you know, allows us to interact with the world. We can see, we can hear, we can smell, we can taste, we can take or in touch, I should say. And I think a lot of us believe what's in our environment to be true, as if that's all there is. And if you look at your life and the results you're getting, step one is your thoughts. Your thoughts are going to create your feelings, your feelings are going to create your actions, and your actions are going to create your results. And that's how it goes. So any result that you're getting, the origin, the preamble is thoughts. But unfortunately what we're doing is we're taking our results and we're causing our results to dictate how we think. And so, for example, you might have gotten up this morning and you looked at your bank account and you said, oh my God, I've got $40 in there, I'm broke, I'm poor. And so that results created a thought. I am poor. If you have poor thoughts, you're going to have feelings as if you're broken, you're impoverished. Right. You're not going to feel too good about yourself. And then if you have those type of feelings, you're going to create actions which are probably just going to be more of the same. And then you're going to get the same result. And so it becomes this cycle results driving your thinking, driving your feelings, driving your actions. We have to stop that. We have to look out into our world, into our environment, and say to ourself, okay, this is the way it is. But this is the result of my past thinking. I need to create new thoughts. I have to believe that there's something better than what I have right now. And when you can do that, you can create new thoughts, new feelings, new actions, and you can create brand new results for yourself. What's outside is just a mirror. It's a reflection of what's going on inside. Unfortunately, too many of us are living from the outside in instead of living from the inside out.
This is like the biggest thing, this is so powerful, what you've said. And I just go back to my son. I made the decision when this happened. They literally told us, you have to let him go, you have to let him die. And I was like, he is going to be better than ever. He's going to be 110%. And when you operate from that, I truly believe you get what you expect. And then when I would look at him, I wouldn't look at, oh my gosh, here's this broken kid covered in road rash, you know, tubes coming out of everywhere. I was looking at, what could I see in him that was alive? Where was that? 0.25% chance. And so you see a totally different thing when it starts with that belief, and I love that you're saying that because it's so powerful. It gives the power and the control and the ability and the capability all back to you. Instead of like believing that you're a victim and someone else has has the reins to your life. Right?
Yeah. You took responsibility for what was happening. Instead of it controlling you, you controlled it. You took what was within. Right. The powers within you use them to create something without. And that's a beautiful thing. That's huge. Most people don't do that. And that's my job, is to get them to learn how to do that.
So you have this ebook and you call it the one percenter's Mind. What do you mean by the one percenter's Mind? What's that?
Well, the term one percenter is something that I think about quite frequently because the connotation around the term is typically negative. People think 1 percenters are greedy. They're just terrible people. They just want to hoard all the money from themselves. They take more than their fair share. And I mean, honestly, I mean myself and my friends, I mean our incomes, to be honest, are actually in the 1% of the all incomes. And we are 1 percenters when you really think about it. But we're all really awesome people. I don't feel like we really fit the mold that society is made of who the 1 percenters are. So I want to take it upon myself to redefine what that means. And when you really think about it, I was thinking, what percent of the population actually takes responsibility for their lives? What percent of the population does their own thinking? What percent of the populations actually, of the population actually make decisions quickly and change them slowly if and when they change them at all? Right. What percentage of the population focuses on the getting and the growing before. I'm sorry, the giving and the growing before the getting. And when you really think about it, it's like 1%, maybe 2%, but 1% just makes it sound cooler. Right. And so that's what I want to do. I want to help people to change their minds, to change their thinking so they can be in this 1%. Not just to make money. Right. But to give, to serve, to do things for the benefit of the greater good so people will remember you so you'll have that everlasting life and live a legacy or leave a legacy on this earth.
I love that because I got to tell you, the people that I found out in our world who are the most successful every single time, are the most generous.
Yep.
Right. They're the most open minded. They're also learners. They've approached everything with a beginner's mind, all of that. And I think the real takeaway here is that we're talking about the one percenter. But you know, it's not limited to, it's not limited. Like someone would think, oh, that's because someone has money. No, it's like you operate this way so that you are successful in every area of your life and financial success is just one area. And you know, the older I get, the less important that piece gets because.
Exactly.
Especially when you almost lose a child. It's got. Gets real clear as to what's most important here. So I just love that now you've got that book on your site and you're giving it free to my audience, is that right?
Absolutely. For free. It's called the one percenters mind. Seven steps to beating fear, doubt and indecision and how to get everything you want. And it was supposed to be like a 15, 20 page ebook, but it's turning into something like 55, 60, 70 pages. And so since I said it was going to be free, I'm going to keep it free. And I think everybody's going to absolutely love that.
Awesome. And you can get it@seancroxton.com that's S E A N C R O x t o n.com seancroxton.com and I am just thrilled with this foray into personal development. We need you out there and it's just awesome. So I want to throw one more thing out to you and just a little surprise question. Shawn.
Yes.
What's the one thing that you do every day that you think makes the biggest difference in your life?
I get more understanding. I read voraciously. I just read. I read four, five, six hours a day. I'm just constantly reading. I'm going to bed listening to YouTube videos by Bob Proctor or Neville Goddard or Napoleon Hill. I learn something new. Actually, I don't learn just something. I learn many things every day that help me to become a better human being.
There you go. Success leaves clues. Thank you so much for joining me today, Sean and everyone, I want to remind you, grab his book the one percenters seven steps to beating fear, doubt and indecision and how to get everything you want@seancroxton.com now after the break, I'm going to be answering the listeners questions. So stay with me.
It's scary but true. Sugar is hiding everywhere in diet foods.

Welcome back. Now this is the time where I answer a listener's question. And today's question is all about mindset. I had to choose one that fit with the show, right? How could I not? And it's from Georgia. And Georgia is in Buffalo, N.Y. and Georgia, writes JJ. I've been off and on losing weight, gaining weight for years and years and years. I Just can't seem to get the motivation. What do I do? All right, you know, everything starts with mindset. You get what you expect. I think back to Grant in the hospital and they were telling us, oh, you know, he's not going to wake up, he won't make it through the night was the first thing they told us. Then they told us that he would never wake up. This is my 16 year old son at the time. He was the victim of a hit and run. Had a torn aorta, multiple brain beads, 13 fractures. And then they told us he'd never walk, he'd never talk. Just. It was never gonna. Never gonna. And I just said, you know what? He's gonna be 110%. He's gonna be better than he was before. We're all gonna be better than we were before. And I had that big vision, big mission passion that I kept real. You know, you'll see it when you believe it. I just, every day I held onto that one. So I'd go to this place with you is why do you want to lose the weight, Georgia? What is it going to do for you when you do that? Get a clear picture of who you are when you lose the weight. What do you look like? How do you feel? What are you wearing? What are you doing? How does that change your life? Go there now, go there first. And in fact, I would tell you, you need to see that. So what you want to go do is cut a picture out of someone's body that you want to have when you lose that weight and put your head on top of it and make copies of that and keep that with you all the time. And when you start to waver and write down, right with that picture, you know, I'm X amount of weight, I'm X amount of body fat. You know, I have the career that I want. Write down what that career is. Write down what the relationship is. Write down what your daily habits are, everything you need to do to make this real for you. And if you waver, go back to that picture, go back to those goals, go back to who you are. Be that person. Now, if you eat and live and think like a healthy, lean person, you, Georgia, will become one. The strategies are all around you. The first step has to become how you think about yourself and believing it first. And of course, it all comes down to knowing that you're worth it, Georgia. You're worth it. So now if you'd like to submit a question, just go to jjvirgin.com ask and you can leave a voicemail for me. I can't wait to hear from you and one more way I love to hear from you is I hugely hugely appreciate it if you could jump on Stitcher or itunes and leave a review for me. It helps a bunch and be sure to subscribe and share the show with your friends. Alrighty. This is JJ Virgin signing off and reminding you that you are worthy Dare to live a life that matters.
