A lot of them contain harsh chemicals like dyes, preservatives, and even UV brighteners. Those brighteners don't actually clean anything. They just coat fabric so your eyes think things look whiter or brighter. That's more chemicals I don't want on my family's sheets or skin. And if you've got sensitive skin or allergies around the house, this can be a big problem. That's what got my attention about Earth Breeze. It looks like a dryer sheet, but it's actually laundry detergent. You toss one in the washer and that's it. No pouring, no mess, and no heavy plastic jug. Their packaging is lightweight cardboard, which helps reduce plastic waste. And if you choose the fragrance free option, it's gentle, hypoallergenic, non irritating and non sensitizing. I really like how simple it is and how fresh and clean everything comes out without those unnecessary chemicals. Right now you can try Earth Breeze for up to 40% off with free gifts@earthbreeze.com virgin that's earthbreeze.com virgin for up to 40% off plus free gifts on your first order.

This episode is brought to you by Pacifico. Here's a story you've probably never heard. Legend has it, decades ago, a couple surfers went down to Mexico in search of epic swells. But they found something unexpected instead. It was still crisp, lively and smooth, but it had nothing to do with waves. It was Pacifico, a delicious Mexican lager. It's like it was brewed to be discovered. Pacifico. Find your own way 21. Discover responsibly Pacifico Clara beer, imported by Crown Import, Chicago, Illinois.
Time is something we have as a gift. I mean, we're all born, get a certain amount of heartbeats, don't know how many that's going to be. And then we're out, right? And we're done. The time you're given, I mean, you could extend it hopefully with lifestyle measures and diet and exercise and, you know, stress management and you get hit by a bus, you know what I mean? Like, that is something that's kind of cosmic and out of our hands. But I can tell you one thing, we each have the same 24 hours in a day. The question then becomes, how many things have you slapped into a 24 hour period? And are you compressing that time or does that time feel spacious? Does that time feel great? I mean, look, you have your average day in your life, a million things to do, phone calls and meetings and whatever it is. Compare that day to a day where all you have to do is kick on your flip flops and walk down to the pool in some Mexican resort because you're on vacation. Those two days have the same 24 hours. One has a lot less crap stacked up, doesn't it? So how do you manage your time better? For me, I have to look at everything through my life garden. My life garden is this matrix through which I look at everything, saying, look, if I had room in my life for five plants, what would they be? My family and friends, my health, my career, my passions, desired objects, whatever it is for you. And you figure out what those plants are and you figure out how much water in the form of time, money and energy. We trade those three for each other all the time. How much water goes to each of these. How can you allocate water to the important things that day and then what do you got to say no to? What are the weeds? Right? And some days, you know, all your plants take a lot of water and it's just going to be a busy day and you just got to say no to all the other nonsense. And other days you could say, look, you know what? I got a deadline. I'm going to promise my kid, I'm going to take them, I don't know, to the park or whatever it is tomorrow, and I'm going to establish some balance through my day so that I can take care of the things that I know I need to take care of. And by assessing what the priorities are, I get better and better at saying no to the weeds. I get better at saying no to the things that are just going to crowd and compress my timeline and make me feel stressed.

Hello listeners, this is Anne Bogle, author, blogger, and creator of the podcast what Should I Read next? Since 2016, I've been helping readers bring more joy and delight into their reading lives. Every week I tag all things books and reading with a guest and guide them in discovering their next reading. Guests have said our conversations are like therapy, troubleshooting issues that have plagued their reading lives for years and possibly the rest of their lives as well. And of course, recommending books that meet the moment. Whether they are looking for deep introspection to spur or encourage a life change, or a frothy page turner to help them escape the stresses of work, school, everything, you'll learn something about yourself as a reader and you'll definitely walk away confident to choose your next read, with a whole list of new books and authors to try.
