You know, I've been talking about environmental toxins forever, and laundry detergent is a sneaky one. A lot of them contain harsh chemicals like dyes, preservatives, and even UV brighteners. Those brighteners don't actually clean anything. They just coat fabric so your eyes think things look whiter or brighter. That's more chemicals I don't want on my family's sheets or skin. And if you've got sensitive skin or allergies around the house, this can be a big problem. That's what got my attention about Earth Breeze. It looks like a dryer sheet, but it's actually laundry detergent. You toss one in the washer and that's it. No pouring, no mess, and no heavy plastic jug. Their packaging is lightweight cardboard, which helps reduce plastic waste. And if you choose the fragrance free option, it's gentle, hypoallergenic, non irritating and non sensitizing. I really like how simple it is and how fresh and clean everything comes out without those unnecessary chemicals. Right now you can try Earth Breeze for up to 40% off with free gifts@earthbreeze.com virgin that's earthbreeze.com virgin for up to 40% off plus free gifts on your first order.

Ringing in the ears. The scientific term is called tinnitus and that's actually quite common. It's a reflection of damage to the nerve cells that do the hearing for us. And as those nerve cells are damaged, the brain will fill in that sound relating to this ringing or chirping in the ears. That damage can occur as a result of trauma. A common cause of that might be excess noise toxicity. But another cause can be an autoimmune problem. And it can also be made much worse with excessive inflammation. Therefore, all of my patients who have issues related to ear ringing, buzzing in their ears, chirping sounds. I work with them to address their nutrition. We want to reduce the excess and inappropriate inflammation and I want to evaluate them for a possible autoimmune process or autoimmune condition. The first steps I have them take is to get rid of the sugar, get rid of the processed foods. We discuss gluten and casein. These are two proteins that people often have sensitivity to and may not realize that they have problems with those two proteins. And so I'll recommend that they go on a gluten free and dairy free diet. If they're willing to also have them remove eggs. These simple changes can be incredibly helpful. In addition, some other strategies that can help with the ear ringing is the addition of white noise. And white noise is noise that has the full frequency of sounds in it. You might think of that as a babbling brook, running water, the sound of waves on a beach. Or you could get that by tuning into a old time radio and you dial in between stations, you get static, that sort of sounds. Like that also is the full spectrum of sound. So that's another strategy. Some other folks will use background music, environmental sounds, such as the background sounds of a meadow or a gentle rain or a background of running water in a stream. But again, for everyone, I want them to lower their inflammation levels and to lower their autoimmune processes. And this really begins with diet quality. Get rid of the junk, eat more vegetables, and also if you can, go gluten free, dairy free at a minimum.
