You know, I've been talking about environmental toxins forever, and laundry detergent is a sneaky one.
A lot of them contain harsh chemicals.
Like dyes, preservatives, and even UV brighteners.
Those brighteners don't actually clean anything.
They just coat fabric so your eyes think things look whiter or brighter. That's more chemicals I don't want on my family's sheets or skin. And if you've got sensitive skin or allergies around the house, this can be a big problem. That's what got my attention about Earth Breeze.
It looks like a dryer sheet, but.
It'S actually laundry detergent. You toss one in the washer and that's it. No pouring, no mess, and no heavy plastic jug. Their packaging is lightweight cardboard, which helps reduce plastic waste. And if you choose the fragrance free option, it's gentle, hypoallergenic, non irritating and non sensitizing. I really like how simple it is and how fresh and clean everything comes out without those unnecessary chemicals. Look, it's really easy to talk about mindfulness and not practice it. So for me, the rubber hits the road. When a human wakes up, you can get up and go straight into unconscious, mindless behavior. What do we do? The alarm goes off. We pick up our phone, we start checking things. We are immediately thrust into the world's expectations of us. We live in the information age, where our attention is the currency. Literally, these algorithms are developed to keep us in our phones. And the more we put our eyes into these devices and out of our own lives, the more money these platforms make. And so you got to grab your attention first thing in the morning. My recommendation is you get up in the morning, do 5, 10 minutes of qigong before you even go to the bathroom. Go to the bathroom, do that thing, come back and meditate for a minimum of 10 minutes before you touch your device. In this way, you set up a precedent. You start to get a little beachhead into mindfulness. And as you start doing that for, I say, 100 days, right? Like, everyone's like, oh, my God, that's so long. Look, 100 days from now, you're going to be 100 days older. Whether you like it or not, you're going to be more mindful. Are you going to be mindless? Are you going to stumble? Or are you going to navigate through your life? And so you start doing this. Ten minutes, a morning of meditation, just doing what you need for you before. Before the world grabs your attention. Then you get better at it. And then you start to instill mindfulness, little anchors into mindfulness throughout the day. What I like to do is set a timer for every 25 minutes. And as that goes off, I take a five minute break, get up, stretch, do some jumping jacks, do a couple down dogs, drink some water, go to the bathroom, do one exercise. I mean, five minutes, you could do 10 air squats or 50 air squats, depending on what you need, and then go back, go back to your work. But the important part of that is really understanding that taking a little break for you is the right move is the way to really instill these anchors of mindfulness. So what you're doing is you're not having a panic attack and trying to meditate it off, because that doesn't work very well for anyone who's tried. What you're doing is in the morning, you establish this thing. And then as you continue to anchor back into mindfulness with these little practices, these little reminders, these little chimes that go off in your phone is every single day as you do that, you're lengthening your fuse. So when something stressful happens, when something crazy goes on in your life, you have more resilience, you're less fragile, you are more capable of dealing with these circumstances in life because so what? So what? Yeah, she said that, right? And you don't blow up and you don't need quaaludes and you don't need to go take medications to come down off the cliff because you are resilient, you are less fragile. And that's a really important difference.
