You know, I've been talking about environmental toxins forever, and laundry detergent is a sneaky one. A lot of them contain harsh chemicals like dyes, preservatives, and even UV brighteners. Those brighteners don't actually clean anything. They just coat fabric so your eyes think things look whiter or brighter. That's more chemicals I don't want on my family's sheets or skin. And if you've got sensitive skin or allergies around the house, this can be a big problem. That's what got my attention about Earth Breeze. It looks like a dryer sheet, but it's actually laundry detergent. You toss one in the washer and that's it. No pouring, no mess, and no heavy plastic jug. Their packaging is lightweight cardboard, which helps reduce plastic waste. And if you choose the fragrance free option, it's gentle, hypoallergenic, non irritating and non sensitizing. I really like how simple it is and how fresh and clean everything comes out without those unnecessary chemicals. Right now you can try Earth Breeze for up to 40% off with free gifts@earthbreeze.com virgin that's earthbreeze.com virgin for up to 40% off plus free gifts on your first order, saving on your education.

Learn more@mcafee.com online protection all right, so welcome back. We're going to be talking today about health coaching, how this can help you practically guarantee your success. Success. And so first let's talk about what a health coach is. And you know, I am so excited to see this health coaching industry just blowing up with amazing training and just there's just incredible stuff help happening now in this industry. And so first let's talk about what it is. What is a health coach? I see a health coach as this life changing ally because they're going to come in there and work with you. And really when you look at what's going on now in health and nutrition, it's all about personalization. It's all about customization. So here's where a health coach really excels because they're going to come in here and help you dial in your personal health Goals rather than take this kind of one size fits all approach. A good coach is supportive and helpful, but also can do some tough love with love. Right? And underscore with love. Tough love with love. Because some of this stuff could be challenging and you want someone on your team to help you navigate that, to help you tell you when you need to speed it up, slow it down, make a shift, all of that. So lots of research actually is coming out now showing how effective health coaching can be. First off, first, research showing that positive reinforcement as well as social support has a positive effect on weight loss and fitness. I know this is not like, wow, groundbreaking, it's like, duh. But here we go. Here was a study published in the Journal of Behavioral Medicine that found through reviewing a med weight study that those who kept the weight off and maintained it for a long time were those who had positive reinforcement as well as social support throughout their journey. Those who did not or simply just had instructions to follow typically regained the weight. And here's one thing you'll see with all of what we do both in our online programs, in our membership community, we have made it a point to have the community in there. So you have community support. But also we have multiple coaches and coaches who specialize in different things. We have coaches who specialize in helping you understand what your labs mean, understand supplements, understand fitness, understand mindset. All right, next one. Another study from the International Journey Journal of Medical Education, Infomatics found that online forums and weight loss mediated through online support played a prominent role in weight loss. Which is so cool because, you know, there's a lot of this online stuff I think might not be so great for us, but I love the fact that those that are online membership puny that we've been using in what we call our reignite wellness365 has been so effective. And it just. The studies show this. So this study was primarily conducted on women and showed that there was a correlation between weight loss and their support with each other. This further reinforces the concept of positive support and how it can be a powerful driving factor towards maintaining health and weight. So again, think about having a health coach who can provide positive support and help you on your journey. And also I think beyond that, also look for a great community where you help each other out as well. So I see that you want to have both a coach and you want to be part of a community that can help you. All right, so let's talk about coaches and what coaches should be doing for you. So first off, there's A lot of stuff out there. There's so much information out there. In fact, the, the biggest reason people tend to fall off a program is purely because of overwhelm. And it's not just overwhelm, it's also misinformation. In fact, one of the big things I talk about in the virgin diet is that, that it's not that we're not trying, it's that we've been duped by misinformation about things that are healthy when they really aren't healthy for you. So one of the first things that can be done here is that a health coach can sift through all that information and help you get the science based, proven information that will help you reach your health goals. Instead of you spending all this time going through all this information, trying to figure out which is right and what you should really focus on. Heck, I think of that just by even going to the grocery store, one of the things that I've made a point to do is to create shopping lists. Because I know even just going to the grocery store can become just a crazy overwhelm where you're like, should I eat this? Is this good for me? I don't know about that, right? So think about having someone who's got the information, who knows what's, what you should be looking for and can sift all through, through all of that, save you the time and, and give you what you should, you need. What's going to help you? All right, Next thing that a health coach can do is customize strategies that work. All right, here's the deal. We're all different, right? And we all have both different goals. We're walking in with a different history book, right? That's your genetics. We are walking in with different epigenetics. So different things going on with our health right now, our different lifestyle, things that we like, things we don't like. And so what a health coach can do is, is take a look at all of that. Take a look at what's, you know, what's going on with genetics and epigenetics, what's going on with your lifestyle, what's going on with their goals, and help you create a plan tailored to you with what will help you succeed. And that makes all of the difference. Because again, you know, if someone says, okay, this is, this is the plan that you're going to be doing. Here's your book, Read this. Do these me plans, but you eat out every single day or you travel all the time. Yeah, we got to get something shifted to that. All right, next one. Offering accountability. And honestly, this is the biggest biggie. Big, big, such a huge needle mover. It's just knowing that you're accountable to someone. Just knowing that, you know someone's going to be reading over your diet journal or checking in with what's going on with your weight and measurements or helping with what happened with the latest doctor's visit. So remember, you know, we're making shifts, you're changing habits, you're changing your lifestyle and this can be challenging and things come up right. Some things that again, you might frame as a failure. And I always frame that as, as it's a failure if you keep doing it over and over and over again. It's an opportunity the first time you do it to figure out what needs to shift so that you don't keep doing this. And also a lot of this stuff we try to white knuckle our way through with willpower, which we know doesn't work. Or we focus so much on our discipline instead of really helping us put the strategies in place one by one. Not overwhelming to be successful, which is super important. So a health coach can help get this into place into simple little bite sized pieces. I know it's a little corny, but hey, while holding you accountable to it, I remember back when I was working with people one on one and we'd have a plan and if someone wasn't meeting those goals, I'd say, okay, let's stop, let's see. Did your goals change or you know, is something going on in your lifestyle? What do we need to do to make sure that you can be successful here? And that's really important. So a health coach here can offer advice, encouragement and help keep you inspired as you go along and also help you make those shifts along the way if things aren't working how they should be. All right, so that's some of the stuff that a health coach can help you with. But what is it that they don't do? And this is really, really important. I have a business coach, Dan Sullivan, always talks about staying on your side of the line. And that's really important here as well. A health coach is not a doctor. They don't play one on tv. So where they excel is working alongside a functional medicine doctor and taking the time that that doctor may not have with the pat. Explain things, help them understand things. But health coaches do not diagnose, they do not give medical advice, and they do not prescribe medication. Where they can come in here though is explain what that diagnosis means and explain what they need to know about this medication so they can help with the explanations and support of what the doctor is prescribing and diagnosing. So if a doctor diagnoses and tells them some of the supplements they should be on, it's perfect place for a health coach to come in and share what those are and how they will work. They can share the functional labs and some interpretations on those. So a lot of times you'll get your labs back from the doctor, he'll have given you some diagnosis, and a health coach can help you understand what those numbers mean. And same thing with lifestyle. When you get that diagnosis, maybe you have a diagnosis of prediabetes or diabetes. Well, there's a lot of lifestyle things that you can do to help turn that around. And that's a perfect place for a health coach to come in and help outline the lifestyle plan to help support what the doctor has diagnosed or prescribed. All right. And this is really important because where I see this, and I know back when I was seeing a lot of people, one on one, I worked with a group of doctors, and so I had doctors there to prescribe to run labs, and then I could come in and do all the supporting and coaching. And it's a really good partnership. And that's what's important to understand. It's a partnership. The health coach is not going to replace the doctor. They work together in the perfect world. And I think you're going to find that that world is starting to happen more and more because health coaching is exploding. There's amazing organizations now training health coaches, and we can share with you some of those organizations as well. The health in the notes@jjvirgin.com health coach so let's talk about how to tell if you need a health coach. First of all, I think having a health coach is one of the best things that you can do. I think accountability, support are everything. And in my perfect world, the minute you said, yes, I'm ready to improve my help, upgrade my health up, level it. I would register, sign up, grab a health coach and outline a plan and stay accountable to them and have a community with you as well. So that's my perfect world. But let's, let's talk about some for sure places that you'll want to have a health coach. Number one, if you're just stuck, you hit that dreaded plateau in your progress. You just aren't seeing the results. Um, you, you know, things were, things were moving along and then, boom, nothing happening. So maybe you're working on losing weight, you're not seeing any weight loss for weeks. Or if you've been working on like, you know, some gut healing or reducing inflammation and just things are not moving along. A health coach is perfect here to help troubleshoot, give you some new ideas, some new lifestyle ideas, diet ideas to help you get unstuck, or maybe life got in the way. Maybe things are super busy at work, you've been traveling a bunch, you got something going on that's giving you a ton of stress, or you just feel like, I cannot do this, like I can't with all the rest of the things going on in my life. I cannot, I cannot handle this. This is where a health coach can come in and give you break this super achievable steps. Because remember, think about how long it takes took you to get to wherever you are. Let's say you're dealing with some health issue right now. Let's say that you're dealing with, say, diabetes. You know, you didn't get diabetic overnight. It's not going to change overnight. Now it can change fairly quickly. But if it took, you say, I don't know, 10 years to develop diabetes, we got to give yourself at least some amount of time to start to make that shift. And this is where it's great because a health coach can start to give you the little shifts that will start to turn this around. And a lot of these little shifts, by the way, can make a big change. I love to say the little hinges swing big doors. All right, next one. You've got something going on with your health and you just can't figure it out. Maybe you've gone to the functional medicine doctor. They burn a lot of labs, but just not making sense. Sometimes a health coach can come in here and really look at your overall diet and lifestyle and see where some things just may be contributing to the issues. Maybe there's something going on with your sleep and maybe with your sleep tracking, you find that, hey, you're not really getting into deep sleep. Maybe you're over exercising and not giving yourself time for recovery or eating too late at night or eating the wrong composition for you. So any of these types of things, a health coach is a great detective to help get in there with you and start to look at what me what might be slowing down your progress, not helping you feel your best and make those adjustments and again make those adjustments based on what's going to work best for you. All right, I'm going to give you some, some takeaways here but before I do, I want to share one quick thing with you and then I'll be right back. So stay with me.

Alrighty. Welcome back. I want to remind you that I'm going to put in the show notes jjvirgin.com health coach I'll put some of the different health coaching organizations in there. I'm also going to put a little profile on each of the health coaches. Here@jjvirgin.com we have Team JJ Reignite Wellness. We have some amazing coaches who are there to support you and I'm super excited about having them there. And again, depending on who you're working with, we've got coaches that specialize in really being able to help you understand what your functional labs mean. We've got coaches who work a lot with supplements and can help you understand that. We've got fitness specialists and mindset specialists. So we got you covered. And again we also have a really super cool community at our membership community reignite wellness365 because here's the bottom line, don't go it alone. It's just too challenging. And I will share with you. One of my secrets to success in whatever I'm working on in my life is that I go and hire a coach that I go get support and help. So anything that happens to be like an area of weakness, I will go find someone in that area who I respect, get along well with. These are all super important, has a great experience and I hire them to get to help me get to where I want to go. So that is one that's super important is these people can really shorten your learning curve and help ensure your success. And again the studies really back us all up there. It's so important to have not just the accountability and the support but also another part of that is getting into a community who can support you. I think back of the research that showed that that obesity is contagious, that you could actually catch it from your friends that you tended to and weigh what the people the five closest people were to you. So again, really important to not only have a coach to keep you accountable, but a community to help support you. And then remember this coach, while they're not a doctor, can really help you by being a great health detective with you since they will start to understand your life, your lifestyle, your goals and also to help you when they you might get stuck because boy, those plateaus. All right, hope that's served. Again, we will link in the show notes to our coaches so you can get to know about know about them as well. And I would love to just do a little ask here. It would help so much if you'd rate and review the shows. It means a ton and I will shout you out. So make sure you put your name in there and let me know who you are and I will give you a shout out. And if there's something you'd like to hear more about or you have a question about, you can leave it there. There too. And that's how we decide what to do our solo episodes on and also we put those into our Q and A Fridays. All right, thank you. See ya. Foreign.
