I've been getting a lot of responses since my menopause post, but this one really got me upset because it's just an example of misinformed people. And you know, if your doctor is not trained in hormone therapy and keeping up on the research, go get a doctor who is. So this idea that I was told by my doctor after menopause that estrogen causes your uterine lining to thicken and that causes uterine cancer is one side of the story. Yes, if you took unopposed estrogen, it can cause your uterine lining to thicken. If you cycle it with progesterone, then that doesn't happen. So again, I've now interviewed so many amazing doctors on Well Beyond 40, and I'm going to tag some of them here so that you can listen to the podcast or go follow them on Instagram and find a doctor to work with who is up on the latest research.
