Hey, it's J.J. here. You know, I've been talking about environmental toxins forever, and laundry detergent is a sneaky one. A lot of them contain harsh chemicals like dyes, preservatives, and even UV brighteners. Those brighteners don't actually clean anything. They just coat fabric so your eyes think things look whiter or brighter. That's more chemicals I don't want on my family's sheets or skin. And if you've got sensitive skin or allergies around the house, this can be a big problem. That's what got my attention about Earth Breeze. It looks like a dryer sheet, but it's actually laundry detergent. You toss one in the washer and that's it. No pouring, no mess, and no heavy plastic jug. Their packaging is lightweight cardboard, which helps reduce plastic waste. And if you choose the fragrance free option, it's gentle, hypoallergenic, non irritating, and non sensitizing. I really like how simple it is and how fresh and clean everything comes out without those unnecessary chemicals. All right, so there's a lot of pieces to this. What seems to be a very simple question of I eat a bar every day when I wake up, but then I don't eat till lunch. Is this bad? Because the first thing I think about is somewhere along the line. And I know when this happened, by the way. I totally know when this happened. This happened about, gosh, I think it was like 30 years ago when this whole urban legend came out that fat was making you fat and you needed to eat super duper low fat, as low as fat as possible and that sugar was fine. Eat a high carb diet. And when that happened, all of a sudden we moved from eating two to three meals a day to having breakfast, a snack, lunch, a snack, dinner, and then, oh my gosh, God forbid you go to bed hungry. Another snack and that we were supposed to graze all day long. Why are we supposed to graze? Because, man, I'm hungry. You're hungry. If you don't have any fat in your diet and you're just eating loads of carbs and your blood sugar's all over the place, if you don't eat every couple hours, you feel like you're going to crash, burn and get hang. So that's where that came from. There's a little history lesson for you. But that's where I wonder with this question where Eloise says, I eat a bar every day when I wake up, but then I don't eat till lunch. Is this bad? No, this is great. Go you. Yay. Yahoo. Woo hoo. You want to be able to go four to six hours before you need to eat again. So I don't know what time you woke up and I don't know what kind of bar you ate. So that's the first challenge. I don't know. I'm hoping fingers and toes are crossed that you're eating one of my bars because I know that when you're eating one of ours, you're getting protein, fat and fiber. And that is that trifecta for great blood sugar balance so that you'll be able to go four to six hours between meals. That is the goal, is that you should be able to eat a meal, feel great, maybe Even forget to eat the next one and again go four to six hours between meals. So that's the first one. The second thing here, because I kind of gave a little hint about this, is it's not just what you eat, it's when you eat that matters. Now, I used to be this stickler for eating within an hour of waking up in the morning. And I still am a stickler for breakfast. But I don't go with this. You have to eat within an hour of waking up. In fact, I say postpone it a little bit. In my perfect world, you would get an amazing sleep of eight to nine hours. Wake up without an alarm with the birds chirping and the sun waking you up. You'd have an amazing cup of bulletproof coffee. I don't do it with oil and stuff. Don't tell Dave. I just do the beans, but I know they're clean. You'd have an amazing cup of coffee. You'd do some journaling, meditation, you'd go do a little workout and then you start to get a little hungry and you would have your smoothie that would be like perfection. But ideally, now I have people eating somewhere between, you know, an hour after they wake up to two to three hours later. And I especially like to do this a couple times a week. Weekends work great where you could have like instead of having your breakfast say at 7 or 8am, you push it to more like 9 or 10 and then you have an earlier dinner so that you can extend that fast. Because one of the first things I like people to do is start to eat dinner a little bit earlier and stop eating three to four hours before bed and then get up in the morning. And we wanna have at least a 12 hour fast. But let's say you had dinner at 6. Well, you woke up now you went to bed at say 10, you woke up around 6 and now you push your breakfast off till like 8 or 9. Wow, look at you. You just did an amazing overnight fast of 15 hours. Go you. So that's what I'd love to see. But I think the bigger, bigger answer here is it sounds like you've got great blood sugar control. I love to see that you can eat breakfast. And I don't know what time that was, but I'm assuming you were able to go four to six hours between breakfast and lunch. Excellent. And so you're doing great. This is all fine. And again, we want to look at a couple different things when we're looking at healthy eating. Number one, of course you want to figure out which foods work for you and which foods don't. That's the virgin diet. You want to lower your sugar impact. That's the sugar impact diet. As you do that, when you do that, you are able to now throw in ketogenics. If you want to roll in some ketosis or you want to roll in some intermittent fasting, the sugar impact diet sets you up to be able to do that. And you know, you practiced some caloric variability too, which I think is another super important concept that we don't talk about enough. All right, so that answer is. Eloise, you're doing awesome.
