A lot of them contain harsh chemicals like dyes, preservatives, and even UV brighteners. Those brighteners don't actually clean anything. They just coat fabric so your eyes think things look whiter or brighter. That's more chemicals I don't want on my family sheets or skin. And if you've got sensitive skin or allergies around the house, this can be a big problem. That's what got my attention about Earth Breeze. It looks like a dryer sheet, but it's actually laundry detergent. You toss one in the washer and that's it. No pouring, no mess, and no heavy plastic jug. Their packaging is lightweight cardboard, which helps reduce plastic waste. And if you choose the fragrance free option, it's gentle, hypoallergenic, non irritating and non sensitizing. I really like how simple it is and how fresh and clean everything comes out without those unnecessary chemicals. Well jj, I can say this right off the bat, and that is that if a person's been actually diagnosed with hypothyroid disease, the chances are overwhelming that they also have an underlying autoimmune disease called Hashimoto's. By some estimates, it's as high as 95% of all hypothyroid cases actually have. They don't have a primary thyroid problem. They have an immune system attacking their thyroid problem. And that immune system is trying to kill the cells of the thyroid because it's identifying it as something foreign. So that has to really be understood. And then when that is the case, being that it is the case, what we see to be most effective is to follow what's called an autoimmune protocol. It's shortened as aip. People can Google that. It's all over the Internet. But this autoimmune protocol, what we're doing with that is we are eliminating certain trigger foods that tend to exacerbate the autoimmune response. Now, these foods are not necessarily unhealthy. In somebody who's healthy, they're perfectly acceptable. They can even be part of a healthy diet. But in somebody who's not, well, somebody who has this autoimmune situation, somebody. And by the way, everyone who has autoimmune, they also have what's called a leaky gut. And so when they have autoimmunity, they have a leaky gut, they have rampant inflammation at the cell, their body. Anybody who has those issues, they're going to benefit from removing these trigger foods. The trigger foods are going to be grains of all kind. They're going to be nuts and seeds. Even we know we think of raw nuts and seeds. They're healthy. Well, they can be. But in somebody who's unhealthy, they tend to act like gasoline on a fire. And then we have dairy, and then we have legumes, we have nightshade, vegetables where they're potatoes and peppers, eggplant, tomatoes. They have to be eliminated for a period of time for maximum response. And then even down to eggs, we found that there is a protein in the egg white that tends to aggravate autoimmunity. So I really want to make that point clear. It's not really the problem with the food as much as it is the problem with the person. Once you deal with that aspect and then we are able to reduce that inflammation, the attack on the thyroid, at some point we can get that person back onto those foods. But it's really an incremental thing and it has to be done individually. I think one of the biggest misconceptions is healthy fats. We have been told that fat makes us fat, fat gives us heart disease, fat kills us. Well, that's true. If we're talking about unhealthy fats, denatured fats, inflammatory fats, things like canola oil and vegetable oil, corn oil, hydrogenated fats, trans fats, these things do real damage in the body. But healthy fats, what I would consider to be more what we, in my clinic, we call God fats or biblical fats. When we're talking about extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, wild salmon, free range eggs, grass fed steak, avocados, avocado oil, things like that, they're actually going to be anti inflammatory in the body. And so they're going to start this process of dampening that autoimmune response, healing the cells, reducing inflammation, a big part of reversing the whole situation.
