We must have essential amino acids. You know, we have to have essential amino acids, which is what we get from protein. We have to have essential fatty acids, which is what we have to get from fat. We don't have to have carbohydrates. We can live without them. We need fluid, we need fat, we need protein. And so our body has a mechanism to ensure that we get enough protein. You will keep eating even if you've had too many calories if you haven't had the aminos you need. It's called the protein leverage hypothesis. We can skip that. Just eat the protein first. I lecture at a place that's like plant-based and they think animal flesh is toxins. I'm like, you're letting me in? But the reality is you can do this as a vegan. You You just have to be very, very aware of what you're doing and supplement with protein powders. But it's way easier to do this on an omnivore diet. Animals have the amino acid profiles to rebuild animals. We are animals. Plants have the amino acid profile to rebuild plants. So if you're going to do it on a plant-based, in order to get those essential amino acids in the right balance, you're going to have to just work harder.
