JJ Virgin eats 1-2 ounces of chocolate daily, usually from Trader Joe's products sweetened with allulose, a sugar she says lowers blood sugar and raises GLP-1. She stirs dark chocolate into yogurt with collagen, adds it to smoothies, or mixes chocolate mushroom powder into her afternoon coffee.

I make a point to eat at least an ounce of chocolate every day, so it's like 1 to 2 ounces of chocolate every day. So some of it might be using chocolate mushroom powder in my coffee. I don't do that on my first coffee because I don't like sweet first thing in the morning. But what I do like to do is use these, and I have a variety of different ones. Like, I got these ones from Trader Joe's. Both of these are done with allulose, which makes me super happy because allulose is this amazing a rare sugar that lowers your blood sugar. It actually raises GLP-1, so— which sugars don't normally do that. So, and it's not absorbed, so it's natural, raises GLP-1, lowers blood sugar, tastes great. I cook with it as well. And so I'll use dark chocolate. What I like to do for my breakfast is I'll either do a Greek-style yogurt and stir in my collagen, or I'll do one of my smoothies, and then I sprinkle dark chocolate chips on top.
