What does borderline personality disorder look like? It's considered to cycle around a delusional state. With my mom, it showed up as competition, but also then turned into addiction, as it often does with borderline personality disorder, because they turn to that to cope with their inability to co-reconcile reality with people around them. Much of what I understand now through my body of work is understanding how childhood inputs do generate outputs, and for me, it certainly generated an output of being very good at pattern recognition. It caused me to wonder, how could somebody be this deep in self-deception that even when confronted with a factual record, they, they can't acknowledge it.
