Hey, JJ here. I just got done taping a podcast in my studio with Dr. Bill Campbell. He is the head of the only physique and performance lab here in the country, and it's in my backyard at University of South Florida Tampa. Just wanted to share with you a little bit of what came up during this interview so you don't have to wait for the Well Beyond 40 podcast to start putting this into practice. Because what we talked about was the importance of power moves and specifically the importance of jumping, both to avoid injury, to help build power in your muscles, because that's the biggest thing that you lose, and also for the stress it puts on your bones and how important that is. So if you're wondering, how the heck can I do that? This could be as simple as when you're doing your air squats, add a hop at the end of them, then progress into jumping up onto a step, and then progress to jumping up onto a box. But try adding in a little bit of jump training 3 days a week It can be amazing for helping you maintain or increase your power and having great bone mineral density. And again, make sure you're tuning into my Well Beyond 40 podcast because I have amazing guests like Dr. Bill Campbell who are going to give you these great strategies you can put into place right away to age powerfully.
