If you are shopping and you are on a tight budget, here are some things that you can do. And I know that I have time tested them myself because I was a single mom on a very tight budget. First thing I always do, go to the farmer's market. Know your local farmer so you can figure out what you can get there from them. Go to environmental working group ewg.org and see what you have to buy organic versus you can get away with not buying organic. Next up, see if there's any kind of CSA community collective where you can pay and get things delivered to you because those also are cost savings as well. So then here's what you're going to do. Number one, when you go to the store, watch for savings. First of all, you got a list. But you're also looking for things that could be on sale that you could stock up on and put into your pantry or your freezer. I'm always looking for what's on sale. I'm especially going to focus on things where I cannot skimp. And where you cannot skimp is on your clean animal protein sources. This is where you want to make sure you're getting grass fed and finished pasture raised wild. So this is where you have to really watch and stock up when there's sales. Other place you can't skimp is on good healthy oils, olive oil and avocado oil and coconut oil. Get those and make sure those are first press clean organic. Now, where you're going to save money is not buying things that have been processed. And let's be honest, what really costs money, money is having poor health. So things like get yourself beans that you can soak and cook. Stock up on loads of vegetables. So those are the things that I'm doing, stocking up when it's on sale. I'm making sure I'm getting the things I really need to get organic. I'm seeing what I can get at a farmer's market. Buying in bulk wherever possible and avoiding the processed foods. Then you're spending the money for the process. The biggest place people tend to waste is they don't use what they have. So make sure that if you cook things before they go bad and then you can always freeze them, saves time.
