Fatigue often comes from poor sleep quality, not just time in bed. Track sleep latency, REM, deep sleep, and awakenings with devices like the Oura Ring. Then get a full thyroid panel: TSH, free T3, free T4, and antibodies, since an underactive thyroid is a common cause of exhaustion.

Why am I so tired all the time even though I'm getting enough sleep? Well, first off, let's make sure you're actually getting quality sleep because being in bed is not the same as getting quality sleep. What does that mean? That means that you fall asleep, you know, 10 to 20 minutes after getting in bed. If you fall right asleep, you were overly tired. If you can't fall asleep, you need more sleep drive. And then what does your rapid eye movement, your REM sleep, and your deep sleep look like? Something like an Oura Ring here can help you track that to make sure you've got the bright things going on. And often also, how often are you waking up throughout the night? So first off, ensure that you're getting quality sleep. And then second of all, check your thyroid. And don't just check a TSH, check a complete thyroid panel— TSH, free T3 and T4— and look at those thyroid antibodies too. Because if your thyroid's not dialed, you will be tired all the time.
