JJ Virgin outlines a TRX training plan: start with basic steps, add resistance work, then two weekly HIIT sessions of one-minute sprints and walks. High-intensity work raises lactate, builds mitochondria in the heart, and generates new neurons in the hippocampus.

TRX has a great machine that you can do a chest press, a squat. TRX is really amazing. So I am creating for The Big Book a TRX workout routine on their app that people will be able to do because like, I don't know why everybody during the pandemic wasn't just blowing up with the TRX. And now they have some really cool bands. I've always hated bands, but these are different. So then you do that, then you're going to add in 2 days a week of HIIT. So, and again, it's the high intensity. When do you do this? I don't care if it took you a month to do the steps, then add in the resistance training, then add in 2 days of HIIT and HIIT could be as simple as like going out for a walk and then doing a little jog sprint for a minute and walking for a minute and jog sprint for a minute. But you're doing this because when you do that super hard stuff, you raise lactate. It helps your brain. It helps your heart make more mitochondria. It helps your brain with neuroregeneration, especially in the hippocampus. You actually make new neurons. So it's really good for your heart and brain.
