Hey, it's J.J. here. You know, I've been talking about environmental toxins forever, and laundry detergent is a sneaky one. A lot of them contain harsh chemicals like dyes, preservatives, and even UV brighteners. Those brighteners don't actually clean anything. They just coat fabric so your eyes think things look whiter or brighter. That's more chemicals I don't want on my family's sheets or skin. And if you've got sensitive skin or allergies around the house, this can be a big problem. That's what got my attention about Earth Breeze. It looks like a dryer sheet, but it's actually laundry detergent. You toss one in the washer and that's it. No pouring, no mess, and no heavy plastic jug. Their packaging is lightweight cardboard, which helps reduce plastic waste. And if you choose the fragrance free option, it's gentle, hypoallergenic, non irritating, and non sensitizing. I really like how simple it is and how fresh and clean everything comes out without those unnecessary chemicals. Right now you can try Earth Breeze for up to 40% off with free gifts@earthbreeze.com virgin that's earthbreeze.com virgin for up to 40% off plus free gifts on your first order. Hey, JJ here. Welcome to Friday Q and A. It's JJ and I am going to be talking today about tips to rebuild the gut lining. So I got a question during one of my live podcast recordings and it was what are your tips for rebuilding the gut lining? All right, let's walk through it. First of all, why do you want to rebuild your gut lining? Well, because it's everything. If you've got a leaky gut, then you're going to have a higher tendency towards food intolerance, which means joint pain, headaches, fatigue, gas and bloating, high length towards autoimmune diseases. So we want to get this fixed. And of course could disrupt your entire gut microbiome, which can cause issues with immune health and mood and weight gain. All right, good enough. Oh, and of course not to mention the inflammation. Okay, so let's, let's dig in. Now that we're convinced we definitely do want to have a good, healthy gut lining, what should we do? Well, the first thing is to get the foods out that can really cause food intolerance. Now, I literally wrote the book on food intolerance, the Virgin Diet. And two of the key things, foods that can really mess with your gut lining are fructose, because fructose makes the gut more permeable. And then gluten. Gluten does too. Gluten causes the release of a protein called zonulin that makes the gut more permeable. So those two are real problematic. Now, of course, artificial sweeteners are too. They change the gut microbiome and they can change the gut microbiome to be more glucose intolerant. So gluten, fructose, all sugar really. And, but fructose is even worse. And then artificial sweeteners. Out, out. Okay then. And if you're going sugar, check out sugar impact diet again. We'll put all the resources up@jjvirgin.com Questions and it will help you figure out where sugar sneaking in and how to lower that down. But of course the most problematic are artific sweeteners. And I'm not talking the fructose. If you eat an apple or you have some blueberries, I'm talking about the fructose when you take the apple juice concentrate that you thought you were having, that was a healthy alternative and it's not. Or the agave, et cetera. Next up is is really building a healthy gut microbiome. That's the, I call it the flower garden of your gut. That's really the good bacteria in your gut and what you need to do to do that are all the different fibers really when we look at fiber, I think of these four, I think of prebiotic fiber. Things like inulin, onions, leeks that feed the flower garden in the gut, they're the fertilizer. I think of soluble and insoluble fiber. Most foods are going to have both of those and that's going to help with satiety, helps with detox, helps with constipation. But it also feeds the good bacteria in the gut, as we know. And then resistant starch, name that because it resists digestion and that can raise butyric acid. Super important. Helps you burn fat. And of course probiotics themselves and you can get some of that from food. But as you've probably figured out, it is nearly impossible to get the levels you really need to heal your gut from food. So this is where you'd want to look at taking probiotics, especially looking I just did a Great podcast with Dr. Michael Ruscio. Return guest to the show. We did it all about probiotics and how you really want to look at taking all three which are soil based, sac based Boulardi, Saccharomyces boulardi, which is really a fungal one. And then the most common ones we know about, Bacillus, Lactobacillus acidophilus, those ones. So probiotics and bacteriophages. So that helps with the microbiome and then healing foods. Flaxseed meal, very gut healing. Mucilaginous apples. The pectins are gut healing green bananas high in resistant starch and gut healing. And of course all the different bright vegetables and turmeric for all the antioxidants help reduce inflammation. If you've got elevated highly sensitive C reactive protein, the marker of overall inflammation, antioxidants are super great for bringing that down. And of course fishes to those, those clean cold water Wild fishies that can help bring down inflammation. Okay, here we go. Next one, Address your stress. So what can make your gut more permeable? Stress immediately makes your gut more permeable. Big shout out to Nick Ortner. I just did a great podcast with him. 37% reduce in stress and cortisol just by tapping. It's free. Also shout out to my my gal, Emily Fletcher of Ziva Meditation. So find the things that work for you. Maybe it's high intensity interval training, maybe it's tapping. Maybe it's it's meditation. Maybe it's all of the above and a hot bath and a great dog. My little dog's my stress management. So find what works for you and then take some smart supplements. What things really help? In my product line I got a couple things that I use. One is my microbiome balance and it's bacteriophages and probiotics. So it's a great blend. Safety net plus which is my digestive enzyme product to help you minimize any issues with gluten or dairy if you get exposed or soy or eggs. And then leaky gut support which has a bunch super important nutrients. Let me go through these nutrients that can really help with healing your gut. L Glutamine number one, L Glutamine. And find a lot of times I'll kick up extra amounts of L glutamine for people to help stress depletes. L Glutamine. That's probably one of the reasons that it starts to mess your gut up. So it can help repair your gut lining by closing up the tight junctions and soothing inflammation. Next one. N Acetyl glucosamine protects your stomach and your gut lining. It can help reduce inflammation caused by ulcerative colitis and chronic disease. And it can also support the growth of bifid bacteria. There you go. So fertilizer for bifidobacteria. Great bacteria that's protective of your gut. Next one. DGL for diglycerized licorice. Helps with healing ulcers and can promote new cell growth in your gut lining and also prevent new ulcer formation and reduce inflammation. Slippery elm. It encourages your gut to create slippery compounds that coat the lining of your digestive tract and create a soothing barrier that can promote healing. It's nanny. It's antioxidant effects can also be very effective for treating irritable bowel disease. Okay. And finally quercetin. I love quercetin. So quercetin first off, rich in apples. Probably another reason apples besides the pectin are great for healing the gut. It can help by sealing the tight junctions. Remember, gut guts have these tight junctions. Leaky gut is where those start to get loose. We do not want loose junctions. We want tight junctions. Okay. Quercetin also is nature's antihistamine. It can help prevent the gut damaging histamine reaction by stabilizing those mast cells. So super cool. There. All right, that is it for Friday. Q and A or Q and A Friday. If you've got a question, I will get you the answer. All you need to do is either go to subscribetoj and you can leave a question when you leave a hint. Hint? Yes, that was an ask. Or of course, leave it on any of my social media channels. All right, I'll see you next time. Keep the spark going. Bye.
