JJ Virgin briefly lists recommended sources of healthy fats and practical preparation tips: minimally processed animal and wild seafood fats (grass-fed/finished beef and lamb), avocados, nuts and seeds (soak/dehydrate or low-roast), chia/flax, nut butters (no added oils/sugars), olives and extra-virgin olive oil, avocado and coconut oils/butter, and ghee. She emphasizes choosing whole, minimally processed forms and notes fats' roles in reducing inflammation, supporting brain and heart health, aiding bone remodeling, and increasing satiety.

What are a few good fat sources? So in my virgin diet plate, sugar impact diet plate, I talk by eating by the plate of clean protein, healthy fats and fiber from lots of non starchy vegetables and a little bit of slow low carbs. Now where does the fat come from? Well, if you are eating clean animal and fish protein, you're going to get some healthy fats from that. From your grass fed and finished beef, from your grass fed and finished lamb, from your wild seafood. You'll be getting healthy fats there. And first of all, I'd love you to get fat in this whole form as possible, as minimally processed as possible. Next thing would be things like avocados, nuts and seeds. I like to soak my nuts overnight with a little bit of sea salt and then either dehydrate them in a dehydrator or low roast them at about 200 degrees for about eight hours. It makes more palatable. Or chia seeds, freshly ground flaxseed meal. So there's nuts and seeds. Nut butters. Make sure that the nut butter is nut butter and doesn't have garbage oils tossed into it or sugar tossed into it. Avoid that real nut butter butter separates. That's what it does. And then olives, extra virgin olive oil, you know, first press cold press, extra virgin olive oil, organic and then terms of other oils, avocado oil, coconut, coconut oil, coconut butter. Those are going to be my favorite of all of the different types of fats that you can go for. And one other one, ghee, Grass fed, grass, finished, organic, obviously ghee. So there's the easy fats for you to use. Again, super important. Why are fats so important? Because you want a good balance, but more on the anti inflammatory side. They also important for good brain and heart health and they can also help with bone remodeling and they also improve satiety. So you're not hungry, you're happier and not hungrier.
