15 Dec 2025 · 8 min
JJ Virgin answers a listener who hates drinking water. She suggests flavored options like Hint water or cucumber infusions, tracking intake in a journal, and using a body-fat scale to monitor hydration levels. The key is reframing it as how to make yourself love water, not forcing yourself to drink it.

A lot of them contain harsh chemicals like dyes, preservatives, and even UV brighteners. Those brighteners don't actually clean anything. They just coat fabric so your eyes think things look whiter or brighter. That's more chemicals I don't want on my family's sheets or skin. And if you've got sensitive skin or allergies around the house, this can be a big problem. That's what got my attention about Earth Breeze. It looks like a dryer sheet, but it's actually laundry detergent. You toss one in the washer and that's it. No pouring, no mess, and no heavy plastic jug. Their packaging is lightweight cardboard, which helps reduce plastic waste. And if you choose the fragrance free option, it's gentle, hypoallergenic, non irritating and non sensitizing. I really like how simple it is and how fresh and clean everything comes out without those unnecessary chemicals. Right now you can try Earth Breeze for up to 40% off with free gifts@earthbreeze.com virgin that's earthbreeze.com virgin for up to 40% off plus free gifts on your first order the holidays are all.

All right, so my suggestion for someone who absolutely hates drinking water is first a big reframe. You know, thoughts create. And I'm really careful with my words because and I had this pointed out to me before in earlier in life when I was talking about hating something. And we're like, do not say that. Because if you say that, then it becomes so thoughts create. Everything's created twice, right? First, start thinking it. So if you're saying how much you hate drinking water, guess what? You're going to just hate drinking water. Maybe we reframe that question. And I'm glad you asked for help on this. So that just shows that you want the answer. So let's first start with reframing the question to how can I make myself love water and want to drink it throughout the day? And what an awesome question that is. So the first thing we're going to do is reframe it and look for the ways that you're going to really enjoy that water that you're drinking. And then we are going to look at what we need to do to do that. And I think of my girlfriend, Kara golden, who founded hint Water because she was a tab addict and she wanted to do something and she loves sparkling water, so she started putting fruit essence in it. And lo and behold, now we have hint water. And if you have not tried BlackBerry sparkling hint water, oh my gosh, it's so good. So find the flavors that you like. I happen to love grapefruit, the pompomouse, and I love BlackBerry. And so what I do is I have sparkling water and regular water at home, but I do a lot of sparkling water, either plain, but more often I'm doing the grapefruit or BlackBerry sparkling waters you can also get. There's these little stevia sweetened drink. I don't know what they're called. They're like little drink pep percoppers that you can squirt into your water or you can squirt into your ice cream tea. And the other thing that I have at home is I always have ice cream tea at home as well. So I drink water, ice cream tea, black bulletproof coffee beans and sparkling water. So find those things that you like, like that figure out the taste that you really love. Like maybe you love cucumbers. Put cucumber water together and then write down in your journal because what you measure and monitor, you can improve, right? Write down in your journal every day. Track your water so that you make sure you're taking in the amount that you need. And one more thing and how do.
We know how much we need?
One of the things you can do is use a body fat scale to really track your to assess your water intake, because ideally your body's about 70% water and you can monitor that on a daily basis and it will show you if you're dehydrated or if you go do a big workout. Weigh yourself before, weigh yourself after. You'll see if you got yourself a little dehydrated. That's another little a little water hack. All right, so find your flavor and go for it.
