Look at all the skinny people that existed in, you know, the 1800s, the 1900s, 1940s, '50s. Everybody was skinny. They ate lots of food. Uh, there's no question about it, but they were eating whole food. So now what's happened is, number one, when we eat food that's mostly processed and ultra-processed, we have stripped all of the bad stuff out of it that we couldn't digest. And so now our gut microbiome, what's left of it, says, "I hear you chewing up there. I heard you swallow, and I'm waiting down here, and nothing's coming around. And it's like, what the heck? You know, you've been cheated. Go get some more." And so we go get some more, and the same thing happens.
