How an AI Digital Twin Can Preserve Your Legacy

A conversational video (podcast/interview) exploring use cases for AI “digital twins” to preserve personal legacies and bring historical figures or loved ones to life. Speakers discuss a specific origin story for Delphi—motivated by a founder (Dara) wanting to digitize his grandfather’s book—and practical notes about verifying identity and engaging with digitized philosophers.

I think there's one other use case I want to point out because we see it a lot is legacy. So for example, we're working right now with one person who is kind of a legend in the sales training industry. And what he wants to do is leave behind his legacy of all of his content. And one day he wants it to be available to everybody and in his voice, in his video and kind of have that live on. And the founder, you should actually, I think you're better to tell the story, Joe. But the founder of Delphi, you know, when he, when he came up with this idea, it was, it was, it was all around legacy.
So you want to share that, the story. I remember basically, you know, Dara has done some startups before in the AI space as well. And his family comes from Iran and he had a grandfather who was a very smart businessman in Iran and wrote a book. Now I don't believe Dara ever. And this is where I'm like, I don't think he got to meet him or if he did, he never asked him about all of his business stuff. And I think he was too young. Again, I don't remember that crossover. But the point is, Dara know, he had a book, you know, he wrote a book. So he had a body of knowledge. His grandfather did. And long story short, he was like, what if I can make this thing come to life and interact with this book in a way where I can ask it questions and as I'm building my own startups and my own business and just life in general, like, what if that were possible? And it is. And that's literally where Delphi came from. Like that was the whole, that was the spark in Dara's mind. And I think he, I think he created the first like mvp, very minimal version of it. And then Sam, the other co founder is, is more of the tech guy. And so that's where they combined and then it grew into this. But yeah, legacy, I mean that's. I've talked to a lot of people and they're like, man, I want to bottle, bottle up. You know, my, my father. Yeah. Basically digitize him. Yeah, it's a lot easier to do this when they're alive. I'll just say that because, well, a, you need to verify their identity. So it's part of it. But also it's like just. And this is what I've heard from others who have done it, slash have already because we tried to do this with a buddy of mine that passed away through another mutual friend because Delphi actually has this somewhere on their website. Maybe they took it down. But there's philosophers. So you can actually engage with different philosophers like Marcus Aurelius or Socrates, like and have full on debates with or you can learn from a perspective, run your, you know, 20, 25 thoughts through their whatever age they were in, you know, like a long time ago and. But the point is you're bringing wisdom to life.
It.
