A short transcript excerpt from a Joe Fier YouTube conversation about mindset and creating one’s reality. The speakers discuss how repeatedly stating intentions (e.g., wanting to leave a business relationship) and priming oneself can precede real-world changes, with one speaker noting the change occurred about a year after they started saying it.
We're all, we're all our own creators, man. I fully believe it and can't control the outcome, but we can at least steer the direction. What are some. Maybe it's not the worst best label, but what are some shitty habits that ways that you were priming yourself in the opposite direction?
So there was two things. There was. We got out of a business relationship recently and even a year before I was saying like, you know, like, I would like to be out of this and I. It was just me saying it to myself because like, you know, maybe like I want to try going a different direction, all that stuff. And it was just wild how literally a year after I started saying that, it happened.
Yeah. I was like, oh.
And then there was some things like for example, I would get nervous of like when I would future project revenue, I'd be like, ah, you know, like that client won't be there, therefore I need to compensate because I'm going to lose that retainer. And then all of a sudden that month came around, that client was gone. I was like, oh.
