Joe Fier talks about eating slowly and paying attention to when you're full. Chewing more helps digestion. He was the slowest eater as a kid, which turned out to be good for noticing what your body actually needs instead of rushing through meals.
Be more mindful. Little things like that, just to slow down.
Yeah.
See, your body will be able to tell you when it's full. It will be able to communicate to you. Do you want more or less of this? Because it has the time to do.
It and you're letting your body work for you. Yeah, it's totally. We live in such a fast paced world and I've noticed as I've gotten older, well, also have had kids, I've sped up my eating. But like back in the day when I was a kid, I would take my time. I was always like, Joe's the slowest eater. I'm like, I chew more and I think it helps with digestion. I've heard.
And were you shamed for it? Because some kids, when they're slow, they get shamed for it and that's why they speed up a little bit.
I didn't take it as. But I definitely. Yeah, it was mentioned many times. I was like the slowest guy at the table.
Yeah, right. And so that affects us because we want to be like everyone else. And it's like actually Joe had it right. Little Joe was the one who was doing it mindfully.
