Usually people shift from stage one to stage two through a challenge. This is how you can become grateful for everything that's happened in your life. So, like, it's like for me, in 1988, my father was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He was given nine months to live. That was three weeks before my sister's wedding. One week after my sister's wedding, my 21 year old brother died in a car accident. And then from within a month of this, my eight year relationship to the man I thought I was going to marry ended.
And it was like, ow, ow, ow. So to survive this boot camp, I went on a quest to understand, how do you live life when these things happen? It's not if they're going to happen, they will happen.
