Joe Fier asks a guest how they started studying how the top 1% invest. The guest traces it back to 2000, when podcasts didn't exist yet, and explains what sparked their curiosity about wealth-building strategies.
How do you know to ask these questions like did you know about the top 1%, how they invested? Was there something that kind of triggered that in you at that time?
Well, remember back right in 2000? I mean, I don't even know if podcasts were out by then, right?
I don't think so.
Okay. So it was really hard to get information. But, you know, this goes back to the intellectual capital. What did I do? I read every possible book I could get my hands on. I took the purple pill and read Kiyosaki Cash Flow Quadrant. Right. Was really insightful in terms of becoming a business owner and an investor is really the way to play the game. So I was doing a lot of reading. I was creating a lot of relationships and trying to meet people in the private equity type world and just getting, you know, different views and then also taking action.
