I learned that you're as sick as your secrets. And if you have things that you're embarrassed about or that were very shameful, that were done to you or that you may have done in your life, and you just keep it bottled up inside, it can become very toxic, and especially if there's a lot of guilt and shame attached to it. So the ability to share secrets in a safe place to a safe person or a safe group of people, they're not going to punish you for it is the path to healing. And fighting silent battles alone is what leads to, in many cases, suicide, self destruction, a life filled with angst. And so I share my story just to let other people know. You can come out of a lot of struggles. You can really transform your life.
