If you're watching this, it's because you've been disheartened by something at work or in life, and you're looking for some answers as to how others feel, what's happened to them, and how they get through it. So today I'm going to share with you 3 things that I do in my life, and they're belief, vision, and faith. That's how I get through over any heartache, any heartbreak, anything that's gone wrong in my life that I didn't expect it to go that way. I'm Jean-Pierre. I live out on a farm in Melbourne. I build digital workflows for a living, and I make these videos because I want to share with people what it feels like to be a founder of a tech startup, we're actually launching our AI SaaS model product, and heck, it's been a whirlwind of products. Whirlwind of products, there you go, a whirlwind of events. So I'm gonna share with you belief, vision, and faith. When you're going through a hard time and something just burns you because it didn't go the way you planned, you need to believe in yourself, and not in the sucky way that everyone says online, but truly have a grounded sense of understanding in yourself and in where you're going, and you've just gotta keep backing yourself 'cause nobody else is gonna back you. And I keep getting taught that lesson every day, which means I'm probably not learning it. So I'm sharing it with you because it's something that I should be doing more of. But as I'm starting to do more of it, I see that belief in oneself, and not in an egotistical manner, but in a sincere manner, belief in the work that you've done, can get you a really, really long way when things don't go the way that you expect. The second thing is vision. Having belief is amazing, but having belief of something that you can see in the future, something larger than yourself, which is a vision that you can uphold, that is larger than you, It can be your why. If you can see that tangibly and you can close your eyes and you can visualize what the future is, that will get you through the good days, the bad days, the ugly, and everything in between. When you have something larger than life itself that you can see and it's out of your reach but you're aiming towards it, you can anchor to that hope no matter what happens. And so you can weather the storm of a bad day. Today I got my ass handed to me. I expected to have 30 students, I had 4. Freaking sucks. But because I know one day we're going to have not 30, not 4, but 300 or 400, my vision and my belief combined allow me to keep showing up, keep doing these videos, and never stop and never quit and never give up on the reason which why I started. And the third thing for me is super important: faith. I'm a man just like any other who has struggles and battles with anxiety, sometimes bouts of depressive episodes where I just don't want to see or hear from anyone. And we all experience different feelings and emotions. Now there's a school of thought that says, "Fuck your emotions," but I say they exist for a reason. They exist to make you aware of how you're feeling, and then for you to do something about it. Now the one way I've been able to govern all of this and live my life relatively calmly through all the storms and the turbulence that I've experienced is faith. I anchor my faith through belief, through vision in something larger, and then for me it's a faith in God and something larger Truly larger, not just a vision, but something larger than oneself. This allows me to always say, no matter what happens, I'm in safe hands. Now, if you don't believe in a God, that is fine. I would encourage you to think of having some level of faith in something other than yourself or your own ability. That's what belief is for. I believe I can do it, so you set out to do it. You have a vision that says, I know I can do it because I have seen it, and faith is that feeling, is that thing that I cannot express. For me, it's my belief in God that says no matter what happens, God has got me covered. As long as I think my hardest and as long as I work my best, I know and I believe and I have faith in my heart, not only in my own ability, because how much can I do? But my faith comes from God who allows me to go on and do amazing things in life because I know that no matter what happens, I'm in safe hands. And as always, This is my closing message, and I think this is also part of how you get through being disheartened. You think your hardest. Not too hard, you might give yourself a headache. You work your very best and go all out on this one because you can't leave anything behind on the table. One day you're going to die. You've got to give it all you've got. And the third, know, truly know, believe, have faith that God has and always will take care of the rest. I'll see you next time.
