John Rodrigues used Figma's new agent to pull design tokens and variables directly from his codebase into Figma in minutes, reversing the usual workflow. Instead of syncing from design files to code, he started from code and let the agent handle the connection, solving a long-standing manual mess between the two.

I've been working on this agent-ready design system and I had this aha moment with Figma's agent. So there's a problem that connecting Figma to like code is quite a messy process. So I worked with the agent to establish that connection and I was able to like bring that, you know, the variables and tokens that are agent, you know, tokens that exist in my code. I was able to bring all that in Figma within minutes. So this agent-ready design system, it's starting from the code and then going backwards towards Figma. Because the code is the language agent understands better. So I was quite surprised how this agent is evolving and how useful it's becoming for this workflow and stuff. So yeah, Figma's agent is worth exploring and I'm going to publish my agent-ready design system so you can take a look at it. So yeah, worth exploring this workflow.
