Welcome to the Secret Sauce of Outsourcing podcast that's dedicated to making you better at outsourcing to the Philippines. This is episode 111, typhoons in the Philippines last weekend. A Tropical Storm Agathan entered the Philippines over the weekend and it brought rain and flooding and mostly in the regions of the Visayas and Mindanao. Now, it wasn't expected to, but it brought more rain than expected and some kind of landslides, and it's expected to make more rain. Now, as you're listening to this, this has probably been five or six, but it's probably a good idea to check on your ofs if they're in Visayas or Mindanao. So I've had at least a couple of my ofs who are without. Without power for a few days. So it's definitely affecting people. It has not caused major destruction, though, which is. Which is really good. The worst news is that there's another probable typhoon that's coming into the Philippines called. They're naming it Basyang. I don't know how they name typhoons in the Philippines. I bet it's similar to how we do hurricanes in the US where we have like a list of names. And here's the first storm, here's the next storm, and here's the next storm. This one in the Philippines is called Basyang. In the US we'll call it something else. But this is expected to be a bigger typhoon hitting in the next couple days. This is released on Thursday. That typhoon is expected to hit this weekend and it is gaining strength as I record this. So just something to be aware of. This is April, April 14th. So, yeah, ask your office if they're okay and check with them as this next typhoon hits.
