Welcome to the Secret Sauce of Outsourcing podcast that's dedicated to making you better at working with online Filipino specialists. This is episode 166. A magnitude 7 earthquake hits Northern Luzon. So this is supposed to be a timely news thing, and it's really not timely because I've been behind on my podcast. But just so you know, a magnitude 7.3 earthquake hit northern Luzon. The island of Luzon, which is where Manila is in Quezon City and Makati, that's the island that those are all on. So this hit the northern part of the island. It was definitely felt in Manila, which is 270 miles away, which is. That's a long way. So when I was growing up, I was in. There was two earthquakes in Southern California that were a big deal to me. They were like, I remember being 6.7 about on the Richter scale and man, I remember those things being scary and the earth moving and rolling and shaking. This is a 7.3. This is quite a bit bigger. And this caused a lot of destruction. The Philippines people were definitely killed in this earthquake. It has been a few weeks now, but it may still be worth saying something to your team about this.
