Welcome to the Secret Sauce of Outsourcing podcast that's dedicated to making you better at working with OFS online Filipino specialists. This is episode 205, Hurricane Ian and Typhoon Carding. So I know this podcast is super late, Ian. It's been weeks since that happened. Typhoon Carting happened at the same time, and there was little publicity about it because of Hurricane Ian. And to make it worse, I was in the backcountry in Glacier national park when this all happened. I didn't even hear about this until I got back, and it was already late, and I didn't get something out about it. So when I get back, I heard and the typhoon in the Philippines was pretty bad. Like, it was a really strong storm that affected central Luzon, which you can check out a previous podcast or on johnjones.com, i have a newsletter about the geography of the Philippines that you can look at. So this affected a big part of central Luzon, and it destroyed thousands of homes. It caused millions of pesos in damage. It was so bad that five rescuers died while trying to save people. It's been a really rough storm for the Philippines. Here at home in the U.S. hurricane Ian killed more than 100 people. It's bad, and power outages and people are suffering with it. It's gonna really affect the economy in Florida, Puerto Rico. It's a mess. It seems bleak, and it seems bleak to me. It's one of those times when we often see humanity shine. At least in the Philippines, we see this so well. They band together. They up for each other. They help. And I would encourage you to help. Like, help your ofs. Ask them if they can help with. With the typhoon carting. See. See if they know someone that's struggling. Help your friends, help your Filipino team. When we help each other, the world just becomes a better place. And that's really all I can say about this at this point.
