Ep. 353: Creating company culture with the right people
24 Nov 2025 · 1 min
Podcast episode (video segment) where John Jonas and guest Atiba discuss the importance of company culture when hiring and managing Online Filipino Specialists (OFS). They argue culture is defined by company values and how people are treated (not perks), and that hiring for personality/fit — not just skills — produces team members who protect and champion that culture.

Welcome to the Secret Sauce of outsourcing podcast that's dedicated to making you better at working with OFS online Filipino specialists. This is episode 353, creating company culture with the right people. So this is going to be video three from Atiba. I've had three in a row on my podcast and today we're going to show one more video from Atiba that talking about company culture. So often when we hear about company culture, people think about like ping pong tables and open offices and free lunches. And I don't think think that's what company culture is. I think company culture is about what the company values and then how people get treated in the company. That's what company culture is about. And how your employees treat clients and how they are seen by clients is largely reflective of how you treat those same people. If you want your workers to be loyal with you, well then you be loyal with them. And that's, that's how we create company culture, especially from the Philippines. And all of this comes from hiring the right people by finding people that fit, that are a good match personality. It's not just about hiring skills. And so Atiba talks about this. Here we go.
We've been using online jobs to hire for the last three years. And I want to just share a couple things with you today. The culture is super, super important because let's face it, if you don't have good company culture, it's only so long your company will actually last. When I found the right people through online jobs, they came in and they latched on to our company culture and then they protected that company culture. Then when new ofss joined the team, they were the ones who championed our company culture even louder than me, and I'm pretty loud, y', all, and made sure that everybody got in line and stayed in line. And when someone was out of line or someone didn't fit, they made sure to bring it to me and say, hey, look, this person's got to go. That's major in helping you manage your team and grow your team. And offices are great at that.
If you want to know how to find people that fit in your company, people that will fit your culture up. I Talk about this in 1vaoa.com.
