Hello and welcome to the Secret Sauce of Outsourcing podcast. The podcast that's dedicated to making you better at outsourcing your work. My name is John Jonas and this is episode 38, our SEO crisis and how my OFS solved it. So let me tell you what happened to us this last week I searched on DuckDuckGo to see how search results were looking, only to find that onlinejobs PH wasn't showing up. So I haven't used Google in years. I use DuckDuckGo, which is really, really good actually, and it doesn't track me, which I hate. Google's lack of willing to be private on anything. So when I didn't find onlinejobs PH and duckduckgo that freaked me out. So I went to Google and I searched on Google and searched hire Filipino va just like some keyword that I think we should show up for. And I found onlinejobs ph in the 10th spot, but only as the URL. The only thing on the page on Google search result was. And then onlinejobs ph, that's it. There's no title, there's, there's no description, there's no blue link thing, there's no black description of what the website's about. Nothing, just blank. So we're still on the first page of Google results. But something is clearly, clearly wrong. And of course I don't know what to do about it. So I sent an email to three of my guys in the Philippines and their job isn't to do SEO, but these guys all know SEO and I know that. So I sent an email to them and said, hey, what's going on? So within the day, they had figured out the problem. I don't know exactly what they'd do. They had set up webmaster tools for us. Google had completely unindexed our site and I don't know why. But 24 hours later they had re indexed the site and Onlinejobs ph was back on top of search engine results with the title description, added extra links that Google Ads and everything is back to normal. So I don't know what happened to cause it, I don't know what happened to fix it. But this was a pretty big SEO crisis that was fixed or averted by just by having SP specialists on my team, guys who have been with me for 10, 12, 15 years. And they fixed it instantly. And all I had to do was send an email. Loyalty in the Philippines is a big deal. I mean, these guys know my business, they know what's going on. Their job isn't SEO, but they instantly knew where to go to at least find the problem and then they immediately fixed it. My advice to you is hire good people. Treat them well and they will make your life so much easier. And it's really easy to get started in the Philippines if you don't know how to get started. Here's a couple options for you. 1. Head to OnlineJobsPH and post a job that's like the shortest, fastest way. If you're scared about doing it wrong, which is completely acceptable. I have one VAOA.com where I will walk you through the process of how I recruit. Frankly, it'll probably save you a bunch of time if you go through it. Even though you're gonna watch some of my videos instead of just doing it on your own. My process shouldn't take you more than two or three hours total of total time, including watching my videos, posting your job, interviewing people, hiring someone within two to three hours. You should have that all done. And it will just make your life so much easier. Especially if you treat them well because you get someone loyal and they're with you for 15 years and you can turn things over to them that you don't have to think about anymore like SEO.
