How to avoid burn out

Jonathan Cronin says burnout comes from two things: no clear vision and no sense of progress. He suggests finding your vision through prayer or journaling, then celebrate small wins and track what you learn from mistakes to stay moving forward.
Hey, what's up guys? It's Jonathan. Today I just want to take a quick minute, jump out here and talk about how to avoid burnout, okay? And this is specifically talking for just about anybody, right? Because we're all going to face the option to burn out, right? In whatever we're doing now. It could be towards real estate investors, a lot of real estate investors, right? Trying to go full time in real estate investing or trying to juggling a lot just as a full time investor, there's going to be that tendency, right? And even in terms of, you know, in ministry or other, other jobs, right, that you may never plan on leaving. But there's two reasons that people face burnout, okay? And I'm not saying I work the hardest out there, right? I don't, I'm not the busiest. But I do have a lot on my plate, right? I have several businesses and ministries. I do probably around 10 meetings a day, plus my admin and growth. There's two reasons and it's not that you need to take anything away from your plate. We'll talk about that in a second. Because you may need to take yourself away. But specifically there's going to be two reasons people burn out. One is a lack of vision and the other one is a lack of growth and a lack of progress. Lack of vision is just simply the Bible says, without vision, my people perish, my people die. Without vision. Some versions say prophetic vision. So vision from the Lord, right? Not just your own vision, not just your own passions, but just for the sake of this video, vision in general, right? And it's specifically if you don't have vision, have a bigger focus or even in the grind, able to focus on the big vision, able to see the big visions. Because sometimes we get so busy we can't even see why we're busy, right? If you're not able to clearly see the vision and have a big enough vision, have something that you're aiming towards, it literally says you will die. You need it like you need water. That's how crazy important that is. Second reason, people burn out because of a lack of growth or a lack of progress. So no matter what you're doing, I don't care if you're in an admin bookkeeping role, whatever that looks like. And every day seems mundane, you as a human being, our minds need progress to feel optimistic, to feel excited, right? To feel hopeful, we need progress. So from a perspective of peak performance, it's going to come down to and not burning out, not feeling overwhelmed. It's going to be whenever you realize that you are growing personally and you are growing at the task that you have been given and the task that you are setting your mind to. If you know the Bible says hope deferred makes the heart sick. We hope for something and it doesn't come to pass. That's where things can get intense. That's where things can get discouraging. Right? So I hope that helps. If you're someone who needs vision, Right. If you don't have vision, I want to, I want to encourage you. Get alone, bring out a journal, really ask yourself. And ask the Lord, be in prayer. What does he want you to do? What is the big focus? What drives you? Just write down what are the passions, the things that excite you in life? And I'm not saying that more than likely you're going to be able to find it even within the context of your current job, your current situation, your current circumstances. But there may be a call to go into a different aspect, right? I'm not saying that. I'm just saying be open and really start writing down what would be the greatest accomplishment of my life. Now, if you struggle with the second one, some people have great vision, but they're still overwhelmed. So if you struggle with the second one, right, which is not making progress, not making growth, going to encourage you, first off, to analyze, have you done anything that is progress at all? So some people don't even realize, you know, that they're making progress or they're so hard on themselves. Right. That even when they do make progress, even if it's a small thing, they don't care. They don't see it as progress. So I would encourage you to celebrate the small wins of your life, even if it's learning a new thing or if you made a mistake. I just avoid. I just made a mistake. I learned from that. And the cool thing is I more than likely won't have to make that mistake again. And so I'm bound for success if I just keep doing, keep moving forward, keep one step, step in front of the other. Okay, the other thing. Yeah. Celebrate wins and just put one step in front of the other. It's impossible for you to know, not succeed and not win if you just keep moving forward. Okay, I hope that helps. If you're a real estate investor, if you're in ministry, if you're in whatever occupation you're in, God has great plans for you. But anyway, hope you have a wonderful week, wonderful day.
