King Solomon’s Blueprint for Wealth—The Strategy Billionaires Use Today

Jonathan Cronin argues King Solomon built his wealth by prioritizing wisdom and closeness to God, not money itself. Modern billionaires use the same strategy: solitude, reflection, and seeking wisdom first. Matthew 6:33 captures it: seek the kingdom and its righteousness, and wealth follows.
Today we're going to talk about how to create wealth like King Solomon. King Solomon is regarded as the wealthiest man who ever lived. And his net worth today would be around $2.2 trillion in today's money. So how did he create the wealth? And today I'm going to walk you through exactly his process, because the Bible laid clear principles and implications on how he. He did it and how you can. Because I believe God wants people to create. Well, now he also is looking for good stewards who have a heart posture like Solomon. So let's talk about that. And before you say, oh, this isn't very practical, this is literally the most practical thing that you could possibly hear today. I believe it's contributed to the number one reason I've been successful. My partner and I run several businesses doing over eight figures a year. This is the core principle. You heard me say before, that after studying all the billionaires out there and all the biggest tycoons out there, there is not a superior market advantage that these people have, that these major wealthy people have. It is not a superior market advantage. It is a superior information advantage. So, number one thing is, what do you know that other people don't? These people have a superior information advantage. Solomon, how did he get to where he was? A lot of you know the story. God comes to Solomon, says, what? Anything you want, I'll give you. He says, I want wisdom to lead your people. God looks at that and says, I want to give you wealth. Not only will I give you wisdom, but I want to give you wealth. Because finding someone like you, I mean, imagine a genie coming to you right now and saying, I'll give you anything you want. What is it? You might even go with wealth because you think in your mind, I can do so much with it. I can do so much good with it. I. But Solomon did not want wealth. He wanted wisdom to lead God's people. And I believe God wants to give people wealth. And that's why he gave Solomon wealth, but because he knew he could trust him with it. But here's the thing. People understand that concept. Okay? Yeah, Solomon wanted wisdom, and he won. And God gave him wealth. But they also leave out just as much as people leave out, you know, the wisdom part. And they just want wisdom for the sake of wealth. Right? Because that's an issue. But who was Solomon's father? Solomon's father was David, King David. David was a man after God's own heart. David's life was about intimacy, prayer, solitude. That was David's life. And out of intimacy and prayer. I believe the implication is that from there birth wisdom and from wisdom, birth wealth, intimacy to wisdom to wealth. So people leave off that piece of actually truly seeking God above all else. Now here's the other side of this. It is very practical, not just in the standpoint of seeking God. Bible says seek first the kingdom in Matthew 6:33 and all these things will be added. But this one thing, 10x my speed at which I was able to succeed and hit my goals. Because here's the thing, even Bill Gates, all these other big guys utilize this one principle. Maybe they weren't praying, but they would take weeks off, a month off and just get away and go get solitude to think, okay? And get away. All the big mental health, all the big self help books, all these things, every single one of them are going to talk about meditation, going to talk about solitude, going to talk about all these things. Jesus even did this where frequently got away to go pray, to get alone in solitude. And he would sneak away to just go and be alone by himself an entire night. One time he sacrificed his sleep just to pray and just to be alone multiple times. There was a moment where Jesus went and prayed. He went on a mountainside, he went and healed Peter's mother in law and then went away and prayed, snuck away. The disciples come to him and say, Jesus, there's people gathering. And he said, no, I'm going to the next town. That is why I've come. And so there's so many implications here that you have to understand is most important that you're getting away, taking time to think. And this is going to allow you to see what's most important. Jesus was able to look past the good, the crowds that were gathering. That would have been great to spend his time with the crowds, right? But no, he understood the greater thing that he could be doing is going to the next town. Meaning don't let the good get in the way of the great. How do you keep in check with your business goals? How do you make sure you're on track and you don't get distracted? Because the number one issue with business leaders is they get distracted. The number one issue and blocker for actually hitting your goals is being distracted. How do you avoid being distracted and spending your time on the wrong thing? I believe that is the number one reason businesses fail is they're doing the wrong thing. They're spending too much time on the wrong things versus spending all their time on the one thing or the most leveraged activities, their time. How do you make sure you stay on track. Same thing Bill Gates did. Same thing all these other big leaders did. They got away. They would spend time thinking and making sure. So every single day, you need time with Christ. And I'll say, if Bill Gates and all these other guys did these retreats without God, what could happen with God? And what could happen with God is the same thing that happened in Solomon's life. The reason he's regarded as the richest man in the world. Even Elon Musk, you know, hit 500 billion. Now, Solomon still four or five times where Elon Musk is. So I hope that helps. I hope that inspires you. Get out there, get time, sneak away. And understand that is an investment that will pay dividends a hundred times over. God bless.
