Hey, everyone, it's Jonathan and Jess. Right now in this video, we are going to tell you the story of how God literally handed us a rental property. We're gonna take you to the property and give you the download. It's gonna be insane.
But first we got to pack up baby Kai and then we'll.
Here we are. This is the house behind me. We're. Baby Kai's ready. So, guys, we just went and did a. A work day yesterday. We took off the shutters, and we're basically getting ready to remodel this house. We've already done a lot of work on the inside, and we're gonna basically repaint the outside. We're gonna paint the green instead of green. It's gonna be black. And so, yeah, it's gonna be a lot of fun. So we're excited to keep you all updated with what's going on. But let's go inside, check it out.
All right, dining room. We like hardcore vacuums in here and we clean the kitchen. So all the cabinets that we still have some work to do, but all the cabinets are like super nasty. And so we cleaned them out. We still have to, like, replace some stuff under there.
That's brand new countertop right here. We replaced that. It's a brand new stove right there, the new flooring.
And then.
Yeah. Ready to go in the backyard? You ready to go in the backyard, little boy? We just changed these steps. These are brand new stairs. Got a spacious backyard. Need to make a bonfire. And what's crazy too about this is it also has a lot right here that comes with it. So it's two properties that we received, and that property is half, like, overgrown. So. But it's cool because it gives it a little more privacy than most of the houses in this area.
All right, so we're going to share with you about how God literally dropped this rental property in our lap, basically.
This was my dad's property. My dad passed away in 2014. He had a big loan on the property, so we all assumed that it went back to the bank. Nobody wanted to take it over because he had some troubles with it or whatever. But basically the bank didn't take it back. It sat here vacant for like five, five years until finally the city sold it for taxes. All right, so somebody bought this house for just a few thousand dollars, and it's required by them. After a year of having the property, they have to send any final notices to the heirs of the property that they have the opportunity to hear this, redeem the property. Okay. And the loan that was on this house had expired in that time. And so we have the right to redeem it with no loan. And just because we're heirs of the property. And it's just so wild. It gets so spiritual. I mean, think about it. Because we're heirs to my father's property, we now have the right to redeem this property. And so we basically, with no loan, debts canceled, we get to redeem what was lost. All right? So we basically bought this house, and we had been saving up, and the Lord literally told us to save, save, save. We were just saving as much as we could. We were eating sandwiches. We weren't going out to eat. I mean, we still kind of are, but we weren't really. We were saving a lot of money, and we didn't really know what for. We knew that there was a word that God had given us that kind of blew our minds. And we didn't really believe it, but he said he wants us to fund the kingdom of God, and he wants to use us to actually fund the kingdom, fund his church. The exact amount that we had saved up at the time that this property came up and we realized we have the right to redeem it was the exact amount that it would take to buy this property. So crazy. And then the Holy Spirit speaks to Jessica, and I'm going to let Jessica just share this because she had no idea what was going on. Like, basically, we found out that there were squatters in the house. Okay. Like, we were about to buy this property, and then we realized they're squatters. They're not supposed to be here. And so the attorney said. Said that we're gonna have to start an eviction process as soon as the deed transfers. Well, the deed was taking a long time because the people weren't happy that we had taken it. Sound familiar? The enemy does not like the fact that we're redeeming back what was lost. Come on. So anyway, we basically finally have the day where we can start the eviction papers. And it's gonna cost us a lot more money to do that. The day comes where the eviction was about to take place. The deed was being transferred, and we were going to start the eviction papers.
And so I had no idea this was happening. It was just a regular Monday to me. But I felt the Holy Spirit tell me, go drive by the property to see if. Just to go check it out.
And you don't come by here, and.
I don't ever come by here. And I was super busy anyways. But it was on the way to work, so I drove. I drive by, and I see that the house is all cleaned up. No one's there. Like, it's completely vacant. So I immediately called Jonathan, and we find out that that's the exact day that the deed was being transferred and right before. And so the Holy Spirit saved us, like, thousands of dollars before we had to go through this eviction process.
So she had no idea that the deed was being transferred that day. And she had only been by here maybe, like, once. And the Holy Spirit literally says on her way to work to go buy the property and just to go by, just to check it out, and it was completely vacant. So we did not. So if we had not had known that, we would have started the eviction papers and paid the attorney all this money to basically send letters for nothing. We're about to, like, fix this thing up. We're excited to share, like, you know, the renovation process, but way more than that. Jesus is speaking to us, and I believe he's speaking through us right now. I believe he's waking up his church right now to realize that you are heirs to the kingdom of God. You are heirs. All that the Father has is yours. And you now, because of that, you have the right to redeem all that the enemy tried to take. He tried to undervalue this property. But Jesus has given us, as the church, the right as heirs to redeem what was lost. All the debts are gone. All the. All the loans are completely canceled and expired. So I'm just like, we're blown away. God is moving with power.
Yeah. And even, like, the fact that this happened in the midst of COVID I really feel like God wants to encourage people watching this right now. Like, your miracle is coming to your door in the midst of, like, unknown times and times. That would be unrealistic. And so we just bless you with that. In Jesus name, we just declare that over you and your family. We just declare abundant blessings. Just stay faithful. Stay faithful to what God's told you to do. And obedience brings fruit.
