Short YouTube talk emphasizing the importance of ‘confident humility’ for success in real estate investing: ongoing learning, collaborating with other professionals, and managing ego. The speaker argues newcomers and experienced investors alike benefit from admitting gaps, leveraging connections, and asking for help to achieve success.
Confident humility. Whether you've done real estate before or if you haven't done real estate before and you know, you're trying to get into it, you're never done learning, you're never done collaborating. There's always going to be things you don't know, but kind of knowing that it's okay and it's okay to learn from other people and it's okay to, you know, talk to other professionals and not have to put yourself like up on a pedestal of like, hey, I know what I'm talking about. Because sometimes you don't recognize that that is okay. Most people in real estate, they're going to want to help you, but one thing that you do have to remember is that real estate is kind of an ego driven. Unfortunately, it's an ego driven industry. You being that missing piece of like, what you want to see is a first step. And people who kind of, you know, take that early on are the ones that I see that are making them the most success out of it because they recognize of like, I don't know everything, but I have the connections and I can make the connections and get there eventually.
