A short motivational/religious monologue (YouTube) reflecting on the biblical story of Solomon to argue that wisdom is more desirable than wealth and that wealth is granted to those who can be trusted with it. The speaker contrasts Solomon’s request for wisdom with the common desire for wealth and presents trustworthiness as the reason God bestowed wealth on Solomon.
Number one thing is, what do you know that other people don't? These people have a superior information advantage. Solomon, how did he get to where he was? A lot of you know the story. God comes to Solomon, says, what? Anything you want, I'll give you. He says, I want wisdom to lead your people. God looks at that and says, I want to give you wealth. Not only will I give you wisdom, but I want to give you wealth. Because finding someone like you, I mean, imagine a genie coming to you right now and saying, I'll give you anything you want. What is it? You might even go with wealth because you think in your mind, I can do so much with it. I can do so much good with it. But Solomon did not want wealth. He wanted wisdom to lead God's people. And I believe God wants to give people wealth and that's why he gave Solomon wealth, but because he knew he could trust him with it.
