Why most people will NOT be successful

A short motivational monologue by Jonathan Cronin arguing that most people fail because they idolize the destination instead of loving the process. He urges discipline, celebrating small wins, and perseverance; gives a concrete example of building an apartment-buying business via syndications and running a mastermind; closes with encouragement and a blessing.
Hey everybody, it's Jonathan. Today I want to tell you the number one reason why most people will never be successful. I was in a Christian business owners meeting this morning and we talked about the quote from John Maxwell that says success is not a destination, it's a journey. And I like the word process. And I believe the number one thing I see in, especially in my generation and the generation below me is this idolizing of success and this just success in general, just being maybe an influencer or having a lot of money or whatever. And of course, you know, there's so much that the Bible talks about that. But I just want to talk from a standpoint of even just in that mentality because success comes in the little things that you do. When you decide to push through, even when you don't feel like it, that's success. When you decide to get up, when you don't even feel like it, that's success. When you start a journey, that's success. Success is in the process. And the number one thing I believe people don't do is they don't fall in love with the process. Okay. If you fall in love with the destination and don't learn to love the process, it will suck getting there. And you won't get there very fast, if at all. Okay? So I don't know if you resonate with that, but if you're constantly idolizing the destination of success or the goal, the end goal, like what it's going to look like, generally you have a flash of emotion and it's harder to, it takes longer to get there than if you were to fall in love with the process. Yeah, you need to set goals, you need to plaster it everywhere, have a vision board, look at it all the time, you know. But if you don't learn to love the process of getting there, you know, I, you know, we're building a apartment buying business right now. You know, we're buying apartments using syndications and we're also teaching other people, having. We have a mastermind that helps bring people together and get people started in the apartment buying business. I'm not looking at what it's going to look like. I mean, yeah, I'm looking, looking at the goals, but my primary focus during the day is loving the process of finding off market deals, financing off market, financing the apartment deals, putting together the syndications, raising funds. Oh, I'm learning to love raising funds. And that may sound completely controversial, but I'm telling you, if you learn to love the process, the destination will come so much faster and way more enjoyable and so I hope that helps. I hope that kind of gives you some value and I believe that, you know, every time I've seen failure or I've seen things not go the way I've planned it, it's because I lack the discipline to keep pushing through period. It's because I didn't keep going. You don't lo if you don't quit there's only one way to lose and that's to quit. That's to give up. So if you don't give up and you learn to fall in love with the process, you will succeed. And if you understand that every moment that you take a step forward you will succeed or you are succeeding every step forward is a success. Celebrate the wins today. You celebrate what you've done today. Sorry the camera's like trying to hold it up in a weird position. Anyway I hope that blesses you. We are praying for you. Let us know how that impacts you. God bless.
