Two investors explain why they prefer multifamily real estate over other asset classes. Multifamily is recession-resistant, meets essential housing needs, and lets you improve residents' lives, unlike storage units which lack emotional return.
Why multifamily syndication specifically?
For me, multifamily is recession resistant. You always need a place to live. And again, it's an opportunity to help people. If you're doing it right, you don't have to look too hard for ways to make people's lives better. You know, storage, that's a big thing right now. There's no interest to me in that because I don't feel like there's a big amount of emotional return. I don't care about storage units.
I do care about people. Most everyone started in an apartment. You understand it. It's pretty simple to go up to an apartment building, especially near where you live and go, yeah, that looks nice. That doesn't look nice. Apartment living is becoming more of a norm. Houses are out of touch for a lot of people. Like Bridget said, everyone needs a place to live.
