Chris joined the REI Accelerator and moved from private money lending to flipping single-family homes to multifamily deals. He credits the program's community, workshops, and networking dinners for helping him learn through others' questions and experiences.
My name is Chris and I actually joined REI Accelerator several months ago and have gotten into real estate. About five years ago I started as a private money lender with my current business partner. The last couple of years we've flipped single family homes and we've decided it's time to take the leap into multifamily. The first day getting here, the first night, just a chance to have dinner and meet people, get to know them, hear their stories, hear how they got into real estate has been great. The first day of seminar, almost workshop type seminars has also been great. It's just an open environment. There's actual planned topics and speakers for those topics, but there's plenty of room for Q and A. And I love just the fact that I'm getting to hear what others are wrestling with and what questions they've got and it's just bringing up questions I didn't know I had and giving me a chance to kind of work through this as I hear others working through it. So it's just been a good experience overall. I think if you are looking for community that's going to give you ideas, community that's going to give you a structure and a strategy and all the support that you need, I've found that to be true here. So I'd say go all in and give it all you got.
