In this walkthrough video, Jon Cheney presents a medley of two hymns—"Our Savior's Love" and "Where Can I Turn for Peace"—from his "A Sunday Afternoon" album. He explains that the arrangement was originally written and recorded ten years ago and is now being released as sheet music. Emphasizing the universal themes of love and peace, he encourages performers to focus on these emotions while playing. He describes the piece as an intermediate, five‑page arrangement that is generally straightforward but benefits from patient practice. Cheney offers practical advice: be patient with mistakes and the music, let the audience feel each note, and consider adding personal expressive touches or extra notes where appropriate. The video concludes with a brief sign‑off and transition to the next song.

Okay, the next song here in A Sunday Afternoon I'm gonna do a little walkthrough today of is called Our Savior's Love/Where Can I Turn for Peace. So we've got another medley here. These are two just beautiful songs, and I kind of want to rewrite this arrangement today. I wrote this 10 years ago and recorded it then, and now it's finally coming out on sheet music, and I'm grateful I've gotten that work done, but Um, but the reason I'm not saying that because I dislike this, I'm saying it because I love both of these songs. Our Savior's Love is such an amazing message, and Where Can I Turn for Peace? I mean, these are things that every human on the planet just, just yearns for, craves love and peace. And these songs talk about where that love and peace really comes from, and I really love it. So, um, so yeah, I'll play through this and we'll see if there's anything crazy to talk about here. It's 5 pages long. I don't see much that's kind of— there's a little bit there. Anyway, so I might stop a time or two and talk about, you know, what to focus on, how to make this, how to make this song feel nice. But focus on love and peace while you do it, and be patient. Always be patient when playing Jon Cheney music. Patient with me for my mistakes that I might make, and then patient with the music so that you can Enjoy it and let the audience really feel every note. I didn't feel like I needed to stop through that song. It's all pretty straightforward. I mean, there's a couple, a couple things. It's just going to take a bit of practice, but that's an intermediate song that is really pretty, beautiful. You could probably even add more emotion to it than I just did. Sometimes leaving songs open and not as difficult also lets you have a little bit of creative freedom with it. You can add notes in there as you feel like you want to. So anyway, that's it. "Our Savior's Love" and "Where Can I Turn for Peace." I hope you enjoyed it, and on to the next song.
