In this keynote‑style showreel, Jono Alderson declares that a technical revolution is reshaping marketing and the internet. He argues that legacy habits and analog‑digital mindsets are no longer viable as platforms evolve faster than brands can manage. Alderson urges businesses to radically change: segment audiences to become the first touchpoint when a user expresses a pain point, build a proprietary library of solvable problems that out‑perform competitors, and actively explore emerging technologies and platforms that are already in use. The speech is a motivational call to embrace change now, positioning proactive adaptation as the only path to success in the rapidly maturing digital landscape.

Brace yourselves and strap in. We are in the midst of a technical revolution. Everything we know is changing in marketing at the moment. The world is growing up, the discipline is maturing, which has made one hell of a mess at the very, very heart of the internet and the businesses that reside in it. The fundamental technology behind our world has radically changed and we need to catch up. And this pattern of behavior that we're all stuck in, this way that we do things, that we've always done things, will stop working. Analog and digital Realities are mixing and merging, and social media permeates and connects everything that we do. All of our platforms are evolving faster than we can keep up, faster than we can manage as brands or marketers. Businesses need to change radically, and if we keep doing what we've always done, our businesses will fail. Start to segment your audience, not just to try and be everything to everyone, but to influence and educate and inspire. Be the first click when a user first articulates a pain point or a challenge. Or a wish or a desire, be there for them now. Start thinking about creating a library of the problems that you can solve uniquely and better than your competitors. Look to the future. The more you start to explore these new technologies and platforms and the way they interact, this isn't tomorrow's world. This is happening now. You need to start investigating and looking at how this applies to you. And it only happens if we embrace it and make the world a better place. So good luck, everybody. Go out and win. Thank you very much.
