Happy Wednesday night, it's August 11th. Welcome to the Zero Hunger Guide podcast. I'm Jorge Cruise, your host, and on our podcast, the outcome and the goal is simple, guys, and that's to give you some simple strategies every single night to control your appetite so you don't overeat. We all know that if you have a high waist circumference, otherwise known as belly fat, the more belly inches you have, the higher risk you are at type 2 diabetes, cancer, heart disease, COVID-19. We don't hear about this enough in the news. People say get the vaccine, but I can tell you right now, if you can lower belly fat right now, guys, if you can drop up to 25 belly inches if you're overweight, even 2 belly inches, you're going to see incredible significant health benefits. So on today's show, super excited, we're going to talk about a carb swap, one of my favorites, for potato chips. We like potato chips, right, guys? So if you like potato chips, on tonight's show, we're going to talk about how to swap this out. This, unfortunately, feeds hunger. Carbs, listen to me. Carbs, guys, any carbs from potato chips to Irish oats, couscous, hummus, all these carbohydrates turn into sugar, which raise insulin. And when you raise insulin, not only do you store belly fat, but you feed hunger and you have this spiral effect. It's almost like an addict with drugs or alcohol. You just never feel satiated. So our goal is to eat more high fat, high protein. We're gonna talk about an incredible carb swap today. That's going to let you do that and be crunchy and delicious. And in my opinion, better than a Lay's potato chip. All right, guys, before we get started with tonight's carb swap, guys, on this Wednesday, I want to give thanks to our sponsors. We're brought to you by Primal Kitchen. I love Primal Kitchen. They stop hunger in its tracks with healthy avocado oil, which is anti-inflammatory. Mark Sisson's the creator. He's 67 years young. He's one of my mentors. He's a dear friend. And I can tell you, Primal Kitchen makes the most delicious salad dressings, and mayonnaise. And they're giving every single one of us that watch or listen to the podcast a free jar of the lemon chipotle mayonnaise. You simply need to go to his website, primalkitchen.com/jorgecruise. Again, that's primalkitchen.com/jorgecruise. Go to the show notes at zerohungerguy.com to get all the direct links if you need that. All right. And we're also brought to you by Elemental Labs. Elemental Labs makes the on-the-go version of Zero Hunger Water. Now, for me, turning off hunger has really come down to one huge biohack, and that is electrolytes. The right amount of sodium, magnesium, potassium is the secret to turning off your hunger. Now, a lot of people think you need fiber. The truth is electrolytes will turn that off. Now, if you haven't checked out zerohungerwater.com, go to that URL because they are giving us— Elemental Labs And this is a box of these incredible electrolytes that are flavored or unflavored. I love orange, I love chocolate, there's so many varieties. But a free box when you do a value bundle, all you have to go to is zero, zero hunger water dot com, click on free box. I promise you, these are the most delicious on-the-go electrolytes. Add them to water, 32 ounces, and you are set. Iced, it is so good. And the chocolate is what I'm gonna have later tonight. I have the orange during the day, I like lemon lime. They even have watermelon, and of course they have other varieties. So check it out. So let's get started, guys. What is the carb swap for potato chips? Now let's start with a potato chip. Now we're not gonna pick brands. This has, my friends, 15 carb grams. Now what we do, and I got my calculator right here, we're gonna multiply 15 by 4. So we get 60 sugar carbs. You see, if you take carbs, total carbs, multiply, so that's 15 grams for one packet, right guys? This packet right here. Multiplied by 4 calories in a carbohydrate, and you get 60 sugar, uh, calories. Now your goal— and I wrote a book not too long ago, I'll show it to you guys, number one New York Times bestseller called The 100— is to not exceed 100 sugar calories. So we're almost at our limit with a teeny tiny bag for the entire day. I rather you save that for when you really want it, for something special. Swap out potato chips tonight, guys, with Pork rinds. Check this out. This is what I keep when I'm having dinner or at my table. Pork rinds have zero carbs, guys. Zero carbohydrates, zero sugars. They have 8 proteins and 6 grams of fat. That is a perfect ratio. And the pork rinds, guys, whatever brand you get, are crunchy. They're delicious. Check this out. Can you guys hear the crunch? It was absolutely delicious. If you've never tried them, pork rinds are awesome. You can dip them with guac, you can put salsa on here. This is the key— zero sugar calories, zero carbs. Toss these away, you don't need these guys. We don't need any more potato chips. We've all had them. I've had them since I was a kid. Get rid of the potato chips and get the pork rinds on. Delicious stuff, guys. Not something you want to eat while you're fasting though, because it does have protein, and protein does break a fast. 8 grams. But it's great when you're breaking your fast. I'll have that with a steak, fish, chicken. I want that crunch. It's perfect. I give myself up to 3 hours to eat every single night. Usually I try to do it within an hour, but up to 3 hours. And that way you maximize your intermittent fast and you can drop the belly fat inches faster. If you have questions about this carb swap or you have requests for future swaps. Because remember, we went from 60 sugar calories to 0 sugar calories. There's a good screenshot, guys, here. Everyone screenshot this and share this, please, with your loved ones. Anyone who's addicted to carbs has to understand that if you can cut down your carbs, you're gonna drop belly inches so fast, guys, without having to exercise. And more importantly, it turns off hunger because it has healthy fats and healthy proteins. Remember, fats and protein turn off and turn down hunger. Carbohydrates and sugars raise your hunger and cause belly fat to occur. If you have questions, simply email me at jorge@zerothungerguy.com tonight, guys. That's jorge@zerothungerguy.com. Have a great night. Thanks so much. Peace and purpose.
