#19 - Stop Slouching and Get a Flat Belly
27 Jan 2020 · 28 min
Jorge Cruise and Shayna Taylor explain how slouching weakens your core and causes belly bloat. Pulling your navel toward your spine, keeping shoulders back, and doing an 8-minute morning yoga flow can flatten your stomach. Hourly posture checks and a standing desk help lock in the habit.

Hi, I'm Jorge Cruise, number one New York Times bestselling author and celebrity trainer, and I want to welcome you to the all-new Jorge Cruise Podcast. Every week I'll bring you the shortcuts to work better, reduce pain, improve memory, garden more, and even sleep better. It's not just about intermittent fasting or getting a flat belly. My mission is to give you simple ways that will empower you to live as you choose. Welcome to the Jorge Cruise Podcast. Hey everyone, it is January 27th. It is the last Monday of 2020 in January, that is. And wow, the first 4 weeks have kind of flown away here. And joining me at my side is the beautiful Shayna Taylor. And you guys know her. She's been on the podcast a ton. She's been gracious to join me the whole month of January. And we actually started for New Year's. Do you remember New Year's already? That feels like a million years ago.
So many things have happened since then, right?
I mean, You had a great start to the new year doing yoga. Yes. And so did I.
And self-care, which I've done pretty good at too.
Right, yeah, let's do a little recap because today we're talking about stop slouching, so we're kind of revisiting the whole back thing.
Everyone's a sloucher including us right now.
Right now, so tell them what we're doing. Shoulders back, chest up.
Shoulders back, chest up. You don't want to like overextend it, right, because we all go, oh gosh, we've got to correct posture, but it's just sitting in balance. And I think, you know, I've heard from one doctor that putting your hands on knees helps like position you to be in a balanced— totally balanced state, you know. Yeah, yeah. So anyway, everyone slouches, don't feel bad about it.
Totally. And we're going to connect—
it's our natural also state, cuz our phones, our computers, our shoulders roll forward, which automatically makes us, you know, slouch over. Um, so I think it's, you know, becoming more aware of the slouching.
Yeah. And then understanding that slouching, what's going to decondition your abdominals completely. So we're going to connect to to give people motivation to sit up straight and engage your core, which is not just the spine, the back of the— of your body, but the front, and keeping it tight like girdle around your body, like a core.
And that's always— and that's using your abs. Yeah, I think naturally we don't want to, you know, we want to sit and not use anything. Yeah, relax. But getting in and getting into the habit of always using your abs will really help you just naturally sit straight No crunches required.
You literally just sit up straight, stop slouching, you're gonna get a nice flat tight stomach, and that's our goal here. We've been talking about the new year. I mean, I had some resolutions, we had some tips. I feel like, guys, here's my tip before we start talking about the slouching and sitting up tight, is right now if it's that Monday and you're like, holy smokes, I was gonna start something and it's the end of the month, you just reminded me, Jorge, like, I got to start it now. And that's okay, you can take that, take that New Year's vibe and make it happen today. It's Monday, join me, whether it's for a live yoga on Facebook, whether it's, it's reading Shana's blog. She has an incredible blog where she talks about inflammation and healthy foods and healthy recipes. And my favorite, the chia seeds and all this. We have to do a collab, you know, on the chia seed meals. We have to come up with a really like Shana and Jorge smoothie, or made out of chia seeds.
Yeah, we should do like a simple YouTube video, like 5 different flavored chia seeds you can make.
All right guys, we got YouTube coming soon. We should, with 5, right? Yeah, let's do it. Whether we film it in LA or—
otherwise it gets boring. So it's like, yeah, make sure you have those different flavors I think are great. Like, I like to put matcha in mine sometimes, and then I love the cinnamon. And then like for the holidays, I was all about the pumpkin pie.
Yeah.
And then, you know, there's like so many different—
I'm all for it—
that you can mix in there.
So let's do that, guys. We'll be doing that this year. But we're gonna talk today and really wrap the year up, I think, with a recap of this month, because this is the month— I mean, we ended— we ended December on a high note. I remember you're doing yoga and you're going with Ryan to Times Square and all that. I feel like What would you say to anyone listening, Shayna, that feels like, damn, it's too late? Because I think that is step 1, and then step 2 is like, it's not too late. Make a commitment, whether it's— we both said we want to do more yoga this year. Yeah, whether it's that or just sitting up straight like we just talked about. Yeah, but it's not too late. I think we've talked about stuff.
I think what a lot of people think when you say a New Year's resolution, that it's like, has to be start— it has to start in January, and then you do it for you know, as long as you can. But that's not— like, making a New Year's resolution is a lifetime commitment that you're doing to last a long time.
Totally.
So it doesn't necessarily mean you have to start it right January 1st. Yep. It could start February 1st. It could start in springtime. Yep. But it's just a matter of, you know, remembering and keeping it on your brain and not feeling bad that you haven't started it yet, but definitely motivating yourself and reminding yourself that you should, you know, start incorporating it into your daily lifestyle.
Yep. And, you know, we've talked about our personal struggles. I've been through a lot this last year. For me, it was a big reset. Both personally, going through divorce, starting a new business in New York with my clients, new— really just new things, you know, rebirthing. You know, I finished my yoga training last year and I feel reincarnated, which is a good thing. I needed a reincarnation. And, you know, and I feel calm. I feel yoga has been that tool for me. And I feel like if I were to pick out of all the little tips we've given people this last 4 to 5 weeks, I want to lean into my yoga. I don't know, would you lean into that or would you lean into more nutritional tip? Because I think let's end the month— obviously we don't want you to slouch, but what's your best tip for not slouching? Or should we team up on yoga? Or what do you want to add?
Or the best tip for not slouching?
Yeah, like, like a prescription. I'm going to say we're going to talk yoga, and I'll get into that in a minute.
But so when you say prescription, what exactly do you mean?
I mean, like, uh, like, uh, like, like my plan. If you do 8 minutes in the morning of yoga, that's a very specific— like, think of a forest and, and then the trees in the forest are very specific. Like, tell them a tree Like if it's self-care, we have to tell them a little something specific. I mean, I like a prescription, like a very specific— it means specific. Okay, what's a specific—
I have like such a thing, bad conception with prescription. I'm like, no, no, no, not drugs, not drugs, not prescription, but even just the word in general.
But, um, like a how-to, like a, like a, you know, do-it-yourself tip that people can do to not slouch, you know.
I mean, I think my number one tip is just to be more connected with your body. I think it's just the mind-body— I think it's just the mind-body connection, being aware. Yeah, you know, I think in daily life we forget and we're not paying attention, and I think it's important to kind of breathe and check in with your body. And I think a lot of the times of the day we're all kind of slouching.
Yeah.
And so if you're checking in with yourself, you know, 4 or 5 times a day or even twice a day, you'll probably notice that you're slouching. And so as soon as you notice that, you know, you can just kind of correct it.
Boom. Yeah, no, and I think awareness is powerful. And I think for me, I would suggest to bring what Shana brought to life is And I don't know how you do it, but just do it. Take a selfie or have a friend take a picture of you throughout the day and just see how you're standing, see how you're looking. And we'll take a picture on this episode. Let's do that. We'll share it in the newsletter where we're standing bad and good. We'll do an avoid and a move forwards, you know, move in this direction, and we'll show you the difference. But try to become aware, cognitive, right, of your posture, and that, you know, you want that chest to come out. You don't push it out like too crazy, shoulders back.
You want to be in a balanced natural state. You never want to go too far forward or too far backward.
Yeah.
So it's, it's just sitting on what you think is, is a normal steady stance, always engaging your abs, I think is what the key is.
You know what, I think let's focus in on that, because if you can think of your core as a— this kind of like a girdle, or back in the day a corset, or you see a lot of the Kardashians use these things.
Very important to hold your body up.
But we have muscles that actually do this for us if we utilize them. We don't have to buy something at the store. And so it's, it's just thinking, all right, I need to activate my back, keep it straight. Hi, this is Jorge, and I wanted to interrupt the show just for a minute because I want to make sure that you're on my VIP mailing list for future podcasts and for insights and shortcuts on how to improve your health, from everything on intermittent fasting to yoga to 8-minute workouts to how to just work better and how to have less stress and also how to manage pain. I mean, you name it, all my best shortcuts come out every Monday and it's totally free. You heard it right. So I'm going to encourage you right now to take a second and jump onto your laptop and go to jorgecruise.com, or you can do it on your mobile device obviously, and sign up for the Jorge Cruise Report. And it's totally free. Tell your loved ones about it, join it. It's over a quarter of a million people that are getting this email, and it's going out every Monday, and I want you to be a part of it so you know what's coming up next every week. All right, guys, let's get back to the show. You activate my core by bringing your navel into your spine, we say in yoga. So do this with us right now. Sit up straight, guys, shoulders back, chest out, navel to spine. You feel that, Shana? The navel to the spine. It sounds like there's no way, and obviously you can't get your navel to your spine, but it's a feeling of pulling it towards your spine. Yeah, and if you do that and you sit this way, I mean, set a timer for 5 minutes every hour, or when you're walking, and you just become a conscious—
when you're walking, it's really important to use your abs when you walk. Yeah, you're just really good for your back, especially if you people that have back problems. I know, trust me.
Totally. And you can do this not just for 5 minutes. If you wanted to do it all day, you could. It's like, it's like standing is good for us, and that requires your lower body to be used. And one of the things we got this year in the house here in New York was a standing desk, huge. And you know, I go to magazines like AARP in Washington, D.C., or Prevention magazine at the Hearst Building, and the really smart editors or content directors, they're all standing.
Everyone It's also important, back to what we said, standing properly.
Oh, we did a whole podcast on this, right?
Yes, make sure you are standing properly because that will mess you up just as much too. Like I said, I wasn't— I— my scoliosis got a lot worse because when I was cooking and standing all day long, I was always leaning to the right side and you weren't even aware of it. No, I had no idea.
Who got you to say, hey, you're leaning? Um, do you remember? Was it a picture you saw?
No, a chiropractor I went to. I also, because I always carried my purse on my right side, yes, when I walked after I took my purse off, I wasn't swinging my arm. It was like I was holding my arm straight because my purse was on my arm, and so my shoulder was lifted a little bit on the right side. And then when I was walking, it was like I still had my purse on. So it was the craziest thing ever. So I stopped wearing backpack.
So what do you do now?
I started— I've started investing in small little backpacks, so I always have the backpack.
That's what I'm gonna do.
Yep.
Is there one that you like? And then I know, um, I use all kinds of backpacks, but backpacks where there's equal balance.
Little backpacks. Yeah, because that way it's on both your shoulders. It's not one on one side.
Yeah.
And then the same with like, I had no idea I was leaning to the right, and then all of a sudden I'm like, wow. Once I noticed it and caught on to it, same as slouching. Once you realize how much you're slouching, you'll, you'll clock yourself and correct yourself a lot more. And so it was like, oh, every single time I noticed I was leaning to the right, I was like, oh my God, stop leaning.
I'm like lopsided. And it can make you— here's what it does, guys. Honestly, at any age, whether you're 50, 40, 30, 20, it ages you. When you slouch, you look old. Yes, magically you, you can't— yeah, look like an old person, right? You know what I mean? I don't care if you're—
it's not 15. I hate to say it, but it is just not an— it's not attractive quality. Like, I couldn't date somebody that had a horrible posture. I would be like, get up.
Well, Ryan is very handsome. He's tall, beautiful posture. He knows about his posture, right? Yes, he stands a lot.
I mean, we all slouch. So he does such— he's on the radio, he's like this, speaking into a microphone a lot. So we've been trying to get, you know, different types of chairs, or he stands up a lot now.
And you can stand there.
Yeah, he stands now too.
Yeah, well, you know, and that can be— I mean, it sounds silly to stand when you're working, whether it's radio, television, or laptop, but it is a workout and you activate the lower body.
As long as— make sure you do a little bend in your knees.
Yeah, a little bend in the knee.
Don't lock them.
And listen to our podcast where we talked about this this because I think it's so important to understand how to stand properly because a lot of people don't do that. And we did that on— it says January 6th, so check out our January 6th podcast. We talked about how to stand properly. We went deep. I mean, do you remember? We talked about tripod, we took pictures of our toes. We had a lot of fun.
I needed a pedicure, don't judge me.
And mine are crooked. I mean, I have to— I've always wanted that toe to be straight. We're looking at my ugly toes. Yours pretty or pleasing.
They're painted. They're a little sausages.
Kind of— well, they're—
by the way, everyone's pinky toe goes down when you try to spread them. It's like, it's very hard. It's very hard to, to master it. Like, my right foot— my right foot is good at it. Yeah, like, I can really control it. This one always wants to go down, but I have to like focus on it.
There we go. Yeah, there you go. Perfect. All right, I see you do. And so for that purpose, if you're into yoga— and I think we're going to do— we're going to wrap up you guys in a minute, but we're gonna do a little flow together and share it with you guys for— I just, I think let's end the year with a little flow for them. We'll record something tiny and we'll show you how we do yoga because I do 8-minute practice. It's so simple. I think we record— this won't be live, but we'll share with you guys. It'll be a VIP-only exclusive. We'll share it with your list and my list. We'll do a little yoga, 8-minute, that it's kind of an overall flow. We'll do it together because I usually don't have a guest.
Who doesn't have 8 minutes?
Yes, if you don't have 8 minutes, you don't have a life, as my dear bestie in Malibu, Brooke Burke, says, and I agree with her, and I agree with everyone who doesn't think they have time. 8 minutes, we do.
Listen, if Ryan Seacrest can fit 2 workouts in a day—
He does not.
You have 8 minutes.
He does? 2 a day?
Yes.
I'm inspired, Ryan. You are inspiring.
He works out 2 times a day. He's an animal.
What is it? So like a strength and a cardio?
Actually, I'm like, I try to get him to take breaks for his body because he really like beats it up.
So you've given him that, that's what I would call a prescription. You've given him that direction.
It's okay to not do something for a day. Yeah, I know, he's, he's learning.
So like, he looks great though, and he— he works hard.
He loves to eat though, that's why he's so crazy about working out so much.
Oh right, he's not fasting right yet, or you can get him to fast.
He is fasting, he is fasting, but when he's not fasting, he eats a lot. Yeah, yeah, I'll tell you, portion control is what we're working— actually his, actually both of our New Year's resolutions, but mostly his, because with— when I'm not with him, I'm— I have zero issues with portion control.
You're fine.
Yeah, but when we're together, because he's he's such a foodie and he's big. He eats portion on portion on portion. He's a fast eater because he's a huge foodie, so he just gets so excited.
So we—
our New Year's resolution was how many bites?
How many do you have? Have you done that yet? Because I've done that, you know, one of the detox bites.
It's supposed to be 60.
60? Tell them what that means. Like, seriously, you take a bite and you chew it 60 times?
That gets a little It's obsessive. But I do have to say, for when somebody who's not a good chewer—
yeah, yeah—
if you're overdoing it for a week, yeah, for say, then once you come back to normal life, you'll at least get half of it in.
Yeah, no, and you, and you end up feeling, I think, more, more, uh, you get proper nutrition when you chew. I mean, it's not good to swallow your food and skip it, and you're more mindful with your food. Exactly. And I think you end up feeling fuller, not faster, but you do have But with less food because the food is going in there and filling you up and you have time for it to impact.
You have time for it to get to your stomach.
Yes.
Instead of shoveling it in, I know.
Yeah, it's like, oh man, I put 2 of those in, I should have had 1. And then you feel fuller with less food. So chew your food, guys. I think it's so important. I don't know how we got into chewing food if we're talking about slouching backs, but we are doing this right now. We're gonna chew our foods. Poor Ryan. Oh, that you were telling us that he works out twice a day.
That's good.
God bless him. I mean, I'm gonna—
I know.
I do it once, but I do do yoga and then I go to the gym. Gym, so I do a little bit of both.
So I guess I get— I'm trying— he's getting into more yoga too. He at least does it with me once a week. I'm trying to get into it more. So yeah, I think it's important, you know, you get really stiff when you get older. I mean, back to being in straight backs. I mean, if you have so much tightness because you're, you know, working out too much or not working out too much or sitting too much or whatever it may be, you know, doing stretching— which, you know, yoga isn't just about stretching, it's a lot further, you know. We talked about that too.
It's not about stretching, and it's not a religion, it's not like that. It's about calming that mind and body body down. And whether it's adhesions, knots, weaknesses, it builds strength and support.
And these little muscles that are very important, especially for sitting up straight or your, you know, your posture in your back. Like when you're doing down dog, you're using— you're engaging so many back muscles that are so good for posture. I mean, there's—
so we're gonna do a little video. That'll be our little end of year— or start of year— end of January month. But try this little video. We'll do one. You guys know to join me live if you want at 8 AM. One of these days we'll do it with you in LA or here. You come over early, we'll do it live with everyone. But until then, watch—
We can do it at my house. We can do infrared and yoga.
Ooh, I love it. Yeah, no, infrared is great, guys. And you have such a, what was that brand you had mentioned about?
It's also good for inflammation, by the way.
It is, right? Infrared and the sauna.
Yes.
I love it.
Well, infrared sauna.
Oh, the infrared sauna. You do both at once.
Yeah, well, they're together.
Oh, they are. Is that the brand of the sauna?
The Clearlight.
Oh, Clearlight does it all.
Clearlight infrared sauna. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
So Clearlight, guys.
Clearlight.
I've used sunlight and saunas. I've used red light therapy, but this doesn't—
no, this is infrared sauna. So it's, it's, it's heat, but it's not as strong as a sauna heat. And it's the, it's the rays, the infrared rays and light. So anyway, it's called Clearlight, and I, I totally forgot, I didn't talk about this last time, but I actually have a discount. Oh, if you use my name, you get, you get a discount.
Tell them where do they go.
Tell them, yeah, clearlight.com. Yeah, and you do a special order, they let you pick what wood, etc., and you can get a small one-person one, two people, up to 4 people. Wow. And they're not, you know, they're really— you can fit in an apartment, no problem. But anyway, they're— and they're not, you know, crazily overpriced for what it is. And anyway, yeah, you can use my name Shayna, S-H-A-Y-N-A, and you get a discount. I'm an ambassador for them. Yeah.
Well, I love that. That's great, guys.
I love their infrared.
I mean, in San Diego, I have a sunlight sauna. It's infrared as well, but I use the red light too, my juve. And it's fine. A lot of sanctuary downstairs. I really love the sauna. Do you do it on a regular or just when you can?
I do it all the time.
You do, right? I will journal in there. Do you journal and sweat and all that?
I listen to music, I listen to podcasts. So like, this is my infrared at home.
Oh, I love that. Oh, that's beautiful. That's a great one. And this is the Clearlight.
Yeah.
I'm going to take a picture, guys. We like to share pictures, so we'll share with my matcha. I love that. And you got to hook me up with some of that, please. I I want to start using that. And tell them about your— tell them about that beverage that you have.
My matcha latte.
So incredibly created for the world.
So I have my— so I've been a matcha drinker for a long time. Coffee actually makes me, um, sick, so it's not— I love coffee.
I may switch in February. Would you help me? Yeah, of course.
I'll send you matcha. We, um, we're out of stock again. We keep selling out, which is, um, amazing. Yes, it is a quality problem. I can't complain. Um, but anyway, so Matcha, I've been drinking since— I think I've been drinking it for 9 years now, like before it really became like a huge fad.
Yeah.
Um, and but I had a really hard time, you know, as I got more educated, finding good quality matcha. And then you realize that like the brown-green matcha is not good matcha. You want it to be vibrant green. But then you realize that companies were cheating the system and mixing it with chlorella to make it more green so that it looked—
to make it look pretty, to make it look like vibrant green.
And it was— they're mixing mixing it with crappy matcha. So anyway, it's—
it—
you have to be careful. I mean, it's just like a lot of the things, like I said before, it's like natural wine is becoming a fad now, so these huge companies are coming in and doing it wrong, and it's frustrating. But, um, anyway, if you're, uh, knowledgeable enough and, and know what to look for, then you're good to go. So anyway, this matcha that I—
is that your kitchen, right?
ChaynasKitchen.com, correct, is where you can purchase it.
You can get it and just scoop it in water or almond milk.
Yeah, so I do matcha. I do matcha lattes. Yes, I do matcha latte, so I have a little milk frother, and I put my homemade— I mix. Sometimes I do walnut, hemp, almond. Sometimes I just do almond. Sometimes I just do hemp. Sometimes I do coconut. I mix up my milk so I'm not bored.
And I'm doing hemp. You got me to— tell them why hemp. We're off topic.
It has the most nutrients out of any vegan milk.
I used to just do almond, and you've had fresh almond milk made. Talk for a minute on almond milk, how you make it fresh, and can you make hemp milk fresh?
So hemp milk is so easy to make.
Give us both.
So literally you buy hemp seeds.
This is a bonus track right now on the podcast.
You buy hemp seeds. All you need is a blender and then a nut bag, or you can use like a very thin kitchen towel too, that works, or cheesecloth. Either— all three of those work.
And hemp seeds, just tell them, they're gonna think, what is this, marijuana seeds?
No, no, no, no, no, hemp seeds have been around, they're a superfood. They've been around for a long time. People sprinkle hemp seeds in—
And is it the same hemp seeds? I'm just acting like I don't know anything. Is it the same hemp seeds?
It comes from a hemp plant.
And so the hemp plant is what CBD is made from?
Correct.
So it's all in that family.
It is all in that bag.
These are the hemp seeds. And you— could you grow a hemp plant from these seeds? I'm just asking.
I actually don't know if the food-grade ones— I don't actually have no idea. I don't know that question. But hemp seeds have been around way longer than hemp was legalized, so they're not like—
it doesn't— this hemp milk is not gonna— it's not CBD milk?
No, just to make sure people— not CBD milk. No, it is, it is the seed.
I kind of want some.
The CBD oil only comes from the full-grown plant where they, they grow like the nubs and all that, like the leaves, not the seeds. There is zero anything. Yeah, it's a very powerful plant.
So they soak the hemp seeds?
No, you don't even soak them. Oh, so almonds you have to soak overnight, which is why people think it's complicated or like takes too long. But hemp, literally, you get a cup of hemp seeds, you put it in your blender, you put 4 cups water, you blend it for 2 minutes, you put it through strainer, you have hemp milk.
Just like that.
Just like that.
How would you describe the flavor?
It's I mean, hemp milk is a little bit earthier than like an almond milk. That's a good description. But I, you know, if you put a little monk fruit or a little cinnamon, it really makes it delicious and it's just like, it's very creamy. Hemp milk is actually creamier than almond milk.
So it's got healthy fats, yeah.
Yeah, yeah. So I, and like I said, it has all kinds of crazy, way more nutrients than most vegan milks.
And when you were with Ryan at that hotel, you shared with us a couple podcasts ago, I think it was last podcast, about making homemade almond milk. That you do soak, give us the recipe.
I request hotels to make it for me. I'm one of those people.
Well, you know, God bless those people because we're learning from you.
I know, I know.
But what do they do to make almond milk at home? Give them a quick tip.
So almond milk is also super easy. You can also use a blender. So all you do is soak 2 cups of almonds overnight in water. In the morning, you strain the water out, rinse the almonds, then you put the 2 cups of almonds—
Do you take the skin off of them?
Nope, you don't need to take the skin off. No, I like to keep the skin because they soak, they become sprouted, and the skin is actually better to eat eat with the almond because I know raw it could be harsh on the stomach. Um, but sprouting them makes it actually the perfect enzyme to digest it better. It's like a weird almond science. Um, anyway, so you put full— don't need to take the skin off. You put the 2 cups of almonds into the blender.
Very much. How do they change overnight? Like, it's overnight, right?
They just get bigger because they absorb all the water. Yeah, I like eating sprouted almonds just by themselves.
You do?
Yeah.
Now sprouted— sprouted just means soaked, but not like they're not growing anything out of it yet? No, no, no. Like chia seed pat or something?
No. Sprouted just means soaked.
Yeah, okay, so soaked.
Soaked, yeah.
So then you take the 2 cups of soaked almonds and blend them with?
With 2 cups of water.
2 cups of water.
Or 4 cups of water, sorry. 4 cups, okay. Yeah, you fill the blender up to the 4-cup mark and then you blend that for like 2, 3 minutes until it looks like creamy milk and then same thing, you strain it through either a nut milk, I mean you can get them on Amazon, they're not expensive.
The nut bags?
The nut bags, yeah.
And it strains the fiber?
It strains the pulp.
Pulp.
Yeah. And then you have almond milk.
That's it.
Yep.
Ta-da! Homemade almond milk. And you can have whatever flavoring you want to make it sweeter, that, or vanilla.
Yeah, you can add whatever you want. Sometimes you— like, a lot of people add vanilla. I do alcohol-free vanilla extract so you don't have the alcohol sugars, which I love. And then I also do sometimes cinnamon. Yeah, I do. I mean, you can really do anything.
I love it.
And also it doesn't break the fast to make the latte in the morning. Yes, one homemade, so there's nothing weird in it. And two, you know, you can really pick how much water or how creamy you want it. And if you want to have, like for me, I like to have multiple matcha lattes, so I'll make it a little more watery than a typical creamy almond milk, just so I can drink more.
I love that. What a great tip, guys. I mean, I know it's not about slouching, but it will get you a flat belly, and you're gonna be happy.
I also add MCT and collagen to my matcha lattes.
Ooh, yummy. So this is like a superfood that doesn't break your fast, in the morning, guys. This is a key thing. We'll need the recipe. I'm sure we'll link to yours.
It's all over Shayna's Kitchen. I post about it all the time. There's also a YouTube video on Shayna's Kitchen under the shop where you can buy the matcha. I have a whole YouTube showing how I do it. Yeah.

it's a superfood.
Yeah, yeah.
I mean, what it basically— matcha is, is, is a specific green tea leaf that they grind into a powder. So it's, it's—
and it's vibrant.
It's very— the good matcha is vibrant green, but make sure there's no other ingredient but matcha green tea leaf in there.
No color.
But it is crazy full of antioxidants, which is also cancer-fighting, and it also boosts your metabolism, fat-fighting. I mean, matcha has so many benefits to it.
