Welcome everyone, this is Jorge Cruise. It is Friday, May 22nd. Hope you're ready for a great weekend, and we're going to kick it off with a ThinkFit that talks about I accept and love myself just as I am. Let's get started. It's a fact, 91% of us have a dangerous amount of belly fat, and it isn't just unsightly. When you have too much belly fat, you lower your immunity and increase your chances of diabetes, stroke, cancer, and even poor respiratory health. The good news is that you can reduce dangerous belly fat and reboot your life in just 8 minutes. Hi, my name is Jorge Cruise, and I'm known as the 8-Minute Life Strategist to the world's busiest celebrities. I've been a fitness, nutrition, and life strategist for over 25 years, and you may have seen my work with Oprah Winfrey, Khloe Kardashian, President Bill Clinton, Tyra Banks, Wendy Williams, Kelly Clarkson, Dr. Oz, Tony Robbins, or even Steve Harvey. My passion to find science-backed life shortcuts has allowed me to write over 30 books and become a multiple New York Times bestselling author with over 9 million books in print. And I know I can help you too. Imagine getting the confidence you want during this COVID-19 world by having a life edge at any stage of your life, whether you're just starting your life or in midlife like myself or beyond. Even if you don't think you have enough time, money, or willpower, I know this podcast will show you how to finally put your life together. Welcome to the Jorge Cruise Show. All right, hopefully you're ready for the best 8 minutes on any podcast. And you guys know I've been a life strategist now for 25 years. That's involved everything from thinking fit to moving fit to eating fit. I've helped a lot of folks do this, uh, through my books and online. And I'm so excited you're here because it's Friday. Let's make the end of the week the best part of the week. I know a lot of us live for Fridays, but I live for every day. You know, every day above ground is a great day. And today's affirmation, today's think fit, I think is going to give you guys something that I've worked hard to gather in myself. Because if I were to ask you this right now, you know, if you were, uh, someone who hopefully has a good relationship with their mom, would you love your mom more if she weighed less? Would you be kinder to your best friend if she had a lower BMI? Could you be happier with your child if they wore smaller clothes? And the answer is of course not. We don't judge people hopefully that we love like that. But guess who we do judge? We judge ourselves. And you know, I'm turning 50 next year and I'm 49 right now. And I have a lot of clients, celebrities. I mean, I've got a really great conversation going with Brooke Burke in Malibu this week because I mentioned her on the podcast and she and I are same age and she is rocking it out and is someone who has taught me so many lessons. And shout out to Brooke Burke in Malibu. I miss Malibu, miss her. But I can tell you, she does not judge herself, you know, and she's been the kind of person that's been in the public eye for many years, you know, over 20 years, and always has to keep where she's at, you know, but she does it without judgment. And I think today's ThinkFit is going to give you the permission to accept yourself. And I think that's so important. You know, I'm someone who for 39 years of my life didn't accept a part of me. You know, I was raised as a Catholic, and as Catholics you can't be gay. And, you know, as a gay man, I was in denial for many years, almost 40 years. And that was a process of accepting that part of myself, let alone when I was younger, when I was overweight. I mean, I hated my belly fat, hated it. You know, there are so many parts of us we hate, those shadows, right? So on today's Think Fit, we're going to blast through those shadows by accepting them. Whoa, right? You're like Oh, I don't know if I'm ready for this on a Friday. This sounds heavy. Oh, it's gonna be freedom for you guys. You're gonna love it because what it's gonna give you is the first step and hopefully planting a seed in you that will awaken this giant within you of acceptance. You know, kind of like Frozen the movie. You guys know that, the animation, right, where she doesn't have to hide that part of herself because she now just accepts it. So let's say the words. I'll say it first 3 times and then you say it with me. Me, and then we'll talk. So does that sound good? Let's do this. I accept and love myself just as I am. I accept and love myself just as I am. I accept and love myself just as I am. All right, now let's do it together. Together. So now that you've heard the words, get ready, we're going to do this together. So get in front of that mirror if you can, and if you can't, that's okay too. If you have your headset on, just say it out loud though. You have to say this out loud because what you say becomes reality. This is a time-honored truth. It is something that for millennia, good or bad, as a species, when we say something and we say it again and again and again, repeat it, it becomes almost like an incantation. It puts a spell on us. And spells happen, you know, that stuff was true back in the day, but it was only because they believed it were true, you know. And remember, what you believe is your reality. So let's change your reality right now. Let's release all the judgment you have about yourself, whether it's your belly fat, whether it's your laziness, and just accept that for where you're at right now. It doesn't mean you have to allow it to continue. It just means right now there's no judgment. You embrace it and you can make it better. Absolutely. So does that make sense? Let's do this together. Here we go. Deep breath in and get ready for some freedom. Exhale. Say it with me right now. I accept and love myself just as I am. Together again. I accept and love myself just as I am. One more time. Say it louder. I accept and love myself just as I am. Good job. That's how you do an affirmation. This is what we call self-talk. This is good self-talk. This is how you change the wiring in your head to undo anything that may have been done in the past. And you accept this new kind of freedom where, hey, you know what? Yeah, I'm someone who doesn't get up early. I accept that part of myself, but I'm going to work on it. You don't judge it. You accept it. You love what is. It is who you are. Today. But today is today. You work on it, and tomorrow you'll be an inch ahead, and then another inch, and then inch by inch you'll get there. And you're going to grow, and it's part of life. That's what life is all about. So I hope that makes sense. I'm going to leave you with this quote: You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection. That's from the Buddha. So I'd leave you with that. Have a beautiful Friday, a great weekend. All right, guys, you can do this. Peace and purpose. Take good care. Now, if you have a minute more, listen in, because, uh, even though we're done with our 8-minute, uh, ThinkFit, I want to invite you to join my Jorge Cruise Report.
