Well, happy Tuesday night, guys. It's October 6th. It's Jorge Cruise. I'm thrilled you're here for part 2, really second law of something I'm calling Ask Big. And it's really a series I'm doing, 12 episodes of the podcast dedicated to really pushing our thinking forward. Because I'll tell you, if you want to get control of your life and get control of your, your health and get control of your hunger, your fitness, your mindset, It all starts really with what we say to ourselves. And so today we're going to continue what we started yesterday. This idea that in order to have a big result in our life, to, to live the life that we've wanted, to have life where we have that confidence, where we're living our lives and we're choosing to do what we want with our lives, whether it's to work better, play better, or just simply go after a hobby, a passion. And feel that you have that freedom to do that. And you have the confidence, because I'll tell you, without that spark of confidence, you're not going to be able to achieve success in life. It's just something that is a law. So today we're picking up where we left off yesterday with Law Number 2. The show is brought to you by some sponsors. I do want to give them a shout out. But Law Number 2 is really about looking outward. And we're going to talk about how looking outward can transform not just your motivation, but can transform your mindset. There's a way to shortcut almost anything, and it's using this method of looking outward. So we'll get to that in just a minute, but first we're brought to you by and sponsored by 8 Minutes Live. 8 Minutes Live is my website, and it's dedicated really to giving people the best HIIT exercise plan out there. HIIT stands for high-intensity interval training. In 8 minutes, you transform your health, you transform not just, your weight loss, but you also build lean muscle, and more importantly, you also elevate serotonin and dopamine levels, and it's been shown to also improve longevity in anyone over 50. And, you know, I'm almost 50 myself. The majority of my clients are in their 50s or 60s, and I can tell you, in 8 minutes, you can do so much. The New York Times has written about how short workouts really, really do work. And so I invite you all to check this out. We're launching this Friday to the public. 100 people are able to join. It's the number 8 minutes with an S live.com, 8minuteslive.com. Check that out. We're also brought to you by Primal Kitchen. Now, Primal Kitchen for me is my favorite, uh, product that I use for preparation of a lot of what I cook when it comes to carbohydrates, because I do love— I know a lot of people think I only eat red meat, high protein, high fat. Of course, I do enjoy that now that I've been very much educated on the power of this kind of, of a plan. But I also do like carbs, and to swap the bad carbs for the good carbs is critical. I made some really great tuber kind of french fries made from beets and carrots just the other day. I love this product, but it was sautéed in avocado oil, and I love avocado oil. And so I want to encourage you all to utilize avocado oil from Primal Kitchen and use it in many forms. Now they're giving us a free Chipotle Lemon mayonnaise made from this avocado oil for free if you simply go to primalkitchen.com/jorgecruise. Check that out and you'll get your free— on checkout, um, you'll get your free lemon chipotle mayonnaise made with this avocado oil, which is anti-inflammatory, which I think is beyond important. And it's something that we need to invest our time into, and more importantly, realize that certain oils out there, like vegetable seed oils, like canola oil, soybean oil, are incredibly— hear me on this— incredibly inflammatory. And almost every salad dressing or mayonnaise are made with these. So be cautious and really embrace the smart stuff out there because it does make a huge difference. So that's primalkitchen.com/jorgecruise for that free lemon chipotle. And then we're also brought to you by my favorite way to start the morning. It's like a, it's like a nightclub for me, but it's in the morning. I'm up early around 4:00, 4:30, and I turn on my Joovv red light therapy upon rising. And what Joovv does is it turns any room into what I would say is a feel-good room, because this light has been shown to be— it kind of mimics the sunrise or a sunset that we get naturally. And you know those good feelings when you see that beautiful color? You just feel good, opposite of dark, dreary fall nights or mornings that can happen nowadays. And so I use it primarily for that at this stage of the game for me, because I'm affected by that by its seasonal mood disorder, but I will also tell you it is great for collagen production, it is great for cellulite, it is great for your metabolism. It's great for so many things, even hormonal health. So check them out. The spelling is J-O-O-V-E, and if you go to Juve— oh, I apologize, I misspelled it. It's J-O-O-V-V.com. Juve. /jorge, they will give you on checkout an incredible gift with any purchase of the light, and it has money-back guarantee. Again, it's joovv.com/jorge. And I can tell you that more importantly, it's going to really transform how good you feel every single day. And more importantly, you're going to understand that this is something you can truly biohack effortlessly. It really is as simple as turning on a switch. So with that said, guys, let's get started with today's show. We're going to be talking about asking big and how to really create this success in our life through what we say to ourselves. And today we're going to be talking about the next step. So let's get started right now.
Hi, my name is Jorge Cruise, and I'm known as the 8-Minute Life Strategist to the world's busiest celebrities. I've been a fitness, nutrition, and peak performance trainer for over 20 years, and you may have seen my work with Oprah Winfrey, Khloe Kardashian, Tyra Banks, President Clinton, Kelly Clarkson, Dr. Oz, Tony Robbins, or even Steve Harvey. My career started because in my early 20s I had no control of my life, and experts told me I was tired and overweight because I didn't exercise enough and overate.
They were wrong.
I discovered that there are fitness shortcuts that would give you control of your life in less time. My passion to find the best science-backed fitness shortcuts has allowed me to write over 30 books and become a multiple New York Times bestselling author with over 9 million books in print. And I know I can help you get control of your life. Welcome to the Jorge Cruise Show.
Alright, so what is law number 2 to this ASPIC methodology? It's simple. Looking outward. And for me, when you look outward, it means expanding your mind. It means really understanding that your perspective is biased, your perspective is personal, and that if you want to do what's best for you, you have to look at it from this outward perspective. And that means many things. That means if you're gonna look outward, you need to have sources of insight, kind of like mirrors that you trust, ones that you know will give you a, a sense of reality that is more accurate than perhaps your own. And I'll tell you, if you are trying to improve any aspect of your life, whether it's your diet, your nutrition, your fitness, your mindset, having a mentor or a role model to look outward to is probably the most important thing of all. For me, I've always had mentors in nutrition. You guys know how much I love Primal Kitchen. Mark Sisson is the creator of that. He's a dear friend of mine and has been a friend and a, and a compass in my life for over 15, almost 17 years. And I can't tell you how much of my thinking has been affected by that. And by that, it also means my actions, because something I've been doing during COVID was conversations with him as a podcast that led me to introducing myself to, uh, Paul Saladino, Dr. Saladino, and then and then Dr. Shawn Baker. And these two men have really changed my perspective. But the way I did this wasn't just on a whim thinking, oh, I'm gonna eat more high-fat, high-protein. It was because I looked outward. I looked outward to Mark. Mark pointed me even further out to these experts, Saladino and Baker. And then as I became familiar with their work and we started to understand the importance of ancestral health and how we used to eat millions of years ago, it became so clear to me me that what I was eating was off. And by correcting that over the last couple of months, my blood, my blood pressure, all my tests have been not just great, they've been incredible. And more importantly, I feel incredible. My body composition has changed. Keeping belly fat at bay is easy. And that all came from me really looking outward and knowing that as much as I've written many books, I've been a New York Times bestselling author for 15, 20 years, uh, that you still need to stand on the shoulders shoulders of giants, people that you trust as your mentors, your compass that will point in a direction for you. Now you got to test it out, you got to try it yourself, you have to do it with great concern and caution, but if you can do that, you're going to get a great success. And by looking outward, you're going to have this insight that will reflect back to what hopefully is more realistic as well. And so for clients of mine, what I always say is to make sure when you're having a day that you don't like, you know, because the good days are great, but when you have a rough day, you gotta look outward for that support. And what the science has shown, having a community, a fit family is what I like to call it, can improve your results by 3 times when it comes to adhering to a diet, adhering to an exercise plan, trying to maintain positive momentum. Because in life, we are designed as a species, we're strong, we are capable, but time and time again, if certain things happen, it's our psychic, and it's not our fault that we, we, we kind of take a step back and we say, oh gosh, I can't do this anymore. I don't want to do this anymore. This is too painful. And yet sometimes we need that push, that encouragement that can only come from friends that keep us accountable. And people that can push us forward are invaluable, whether it's a coach, a best friend, a family member, or a community. That is what I challenge you today to embrace. So with that said, let's say an affirmation that I hope will instill in this you a more confident level of looking outward. It simply says the following. It says, I look outward to grow. Say it with me 3 times. Stand tall, look me right in the eye right now, guys, and say it. Say, I look outward to grow. Again, I look outward to grow. I look outward to grow. And by simply knowing that by looking outward, that's how you grow as a, as a human. That is how you grow your mindset. That is how you grow your courage. That is how you grow your intelligence. That's how you grow everything, you know, is by looking outward outward, you know, and whether they're people or even resources like old school books or seminars or classes. By looking outward, you enrich yourself, and then you can kind of decide how much to embrace, how much to let aside, and how much you need to expand your thinking. And I can promise you, this simple, simple tool of looking outward is the most important aspect of asking, uh, and asking big for your life. Because if you want an extraordinary life where you are in control of your life, where you have control control over your hunger, your exercise, your mindset. You gotta ask big and say, you know what, I'm in charge. And to be in charge and to be someone who has that kind of willpower and discipline that's automatic, you gotta ask big. And so this second law keeps it all together, guys. So take this challenge, keep this mindset all today, tonight, tomorrow, and utilize looking outward as a tool in your life to maximize. And by doing that, guarantee success. I hope this helps. Peace and purpose, and I'll see you tomorrow night. Take good care.
