Well, happy Wednesday. It is October 7th. This is Jorge Cruise, and I want to welcome you to the Jorge Cruise Show. Today we're continuing our special episodes on asking big, because for me, if you want to gain control of your life, gain control of your appetite, gain control of your health, it's about asking big and asking big of yourself mainly, more than anyone else. Because I'll tell you, the biggest thing that can stop you from getting that control back in your life is yourself. And so today we continue with something that I call know what to ask. It's the third law of asking big, and I'm super excited to share this with you because I think it will give you the ability to pinpoint what exactly it is you need in your life, because clarity is power. So we'll talk about that in just a few minutes. We're brought to you by our sponsors. First, 8 Minutes Live, that's my website, and I'm thrilled to be sponsoring our show because we are launching this Friday, in 2 days. And it's really a place where I work with clients, celebrities. I work with people that literally want to improve their fitness, right? And HIIT training, high-intensity interval training, is my method of doing that. And it does many things. Not only does it help you maximize the burn, if shall we say, especially of belly fat, it also helps with mitochondria. It helps you energize your cells. It helps with longevity. And the science has shown it helps reduce hunger. And it's the perfect time to do it is upon rising because it's like an appetite suppressant. HIIT training, H-I-I-T, high-intensity interval training. So if you're interested in joining me personally, um, and, and becoming a client, please do check it out at the number 8minuteswithanS live.com. It's 8minuteslive.com. We're also brought to you by Primal Kitchen. Now Primal Kitchen for me has been a a great sponsor of this show for quite some time now. They are offering us a free Chipotle lime mayo with avocado oil. And if you don't know about avocado oil at this stage of the game, it is one of the most beneficial oils out there. It's anti-inflammatory, it's made from avocados, and this oil will not break your fast. So you can use it in whatever hack, biohack you want to turn off hunger, because you know healthy fats do not break a fast, helps you cheat the fast. But I like using it while I'm preparing my, my carbs because I do some green carb swaps. Uh, popular— or contrary to popular belief, a lot of people think I don't eat carbs. I do like carbs. I'm human. All humans like carbs, right? Now, will they help us? Are they necessary? There's a huge debate on that. But regardless whether you like a salad or you like vegetables, I use avocado oil or avocado mayo on everything because it is so anti-inflammatory and it just adds that richness. So check out primalkitchen.com/jorgecruz. Again, that's primalkitchen.com/jorgecruise. Jorgecruise.com/jorgecruise. And upon checkout, you'll get a free chipotle lemon mayo avocado oil from the people over there. Mark Sisson is part of that team and I love them. So they're awesome. We're also brought to you by Joovv. Joovv is my red light therapy morning biohack to feel good, especially now that it's fall. I'll tell you, it's darker in the morning when I get up, as I'm up around 4:00, 4:30. And when I get up, I turn this red light therapy on and it lights up my office literally into just a happy, happy-go type vibe where when I see this light, I smile, I feel good. And it's a thing, it's scientifically been shown that if you are in a darker environment, you're going to get more of a seasonal mood disorder. You may get depressed, you may get angry, you may get anxious. So for me, because I suffer from that at times, I use this light to combat that, and I have never felt better. I use it in the morning, I use it at night before bed because it also kind of does the opposite of blue light, which keeps us awake. So it helps work with our circadian rhythm, which helps us go to bed on time and helps us feel good in the morning. So it's perfect. And they're giving us a free gift with the promo code Jorge, J-O-R-G-E. Just simply go to joovv.com/jorge. It's spelled J-O-O-V-V.com/jorge. So with that said, let's get started with today's show, and let's get started with asking big right now. Hi, my name is Jorge Cruise, and I'm the number one New York Times bestselling author of over 30 books. And you also may know me as a leading fitness trainer to the world's busiest celebrities. You may have seen my work with Oprah Winfrey, Khloé Kardashian, Tyra Banks, Kelly Clarkson, or even Dr. Oz. My career started because in my early 20s, I was an overeater, and experts told me I was unhealthy. Because I lacked discipline and didn't exercise enough. Well, they were wrong. I discovered that there are simple shortcuts that can give you control of your hunger, and I know I can help you too. Welcome to the Jorge Cruise Show. Well, welcome back. It is Wednesday. It is October 7th. Um, I'm so excited. So many of you guys have been responding to this Ask Big, uh, series we're doing. Gonna be 12 different laws, rules of really achieving what I would call control over the thing that's the hardest, which is your mindset. Because if you wanna control hunger, wanna control your exercise, wanna control your life, uh, the biggest and only obstacle that, in my opinion, after 20+ years of working with everyone, every celebrity out there, being on every television show and working with millions of people through my books and and through the social media world. I'll tell you, it's ourselves. We sabotage ourselves more than anyone else. So Ask Big is really about asking big of yourself to step up, to raise the bar, and really get yourself to follow through on simple things that you want. And this isn't stuff hopefully your family wants, your spouse wants, your loved ones want, your boyfriend, girlfriend, your parents. I don't care who it is. This is asking big of you for what you want, just stepping up to what you want in your life. And I can tell you the number one thing you guys have told me on social is that you want to get control of appetite and get control of your hunger. And if that's something you're serious about, asking big is so important because you got to ask yourself, all right, hey, if I'm hungry, am I hungry or is it false hunger? You got to ask yourself, hey, what is it I want to overcome? And so today's law, So the third law in the series is called know what to ask. And I'll tell you, after asking this just yesterday of everyone on Instagram, and if you're on Facebook or Twitter, you missed out, but I'll tell you what happened basically. I did a little survey of everyone, and you know, I have over 150,000 people on Instagram, and you all told me clearly, this is the majority, almost 70% of you, so 7 out of 10 people wanted control over their hunger. So for me, that I totally get because I was the kid in my early 20s in high school that would just be outta control when it came to eating. I was eating all the time. I didn't play sports, I didn't have like a girlfriend, I didn't have a lot of friends. So for me, guess who my best friend was? It was F-O-O-D, food. Food was my bestie, right? And so I remember waking up in the morning early sometimes just to have Captain Crunch cereal with milk. And then, you know, my mom would make me eggs maybe, but I would be like, ah, I just want more Captain Crunch, 'cause it was me and Captain Crunch. I remember that box of cereal. And literally you would think it was a real person I was having a friendship with, you know, Captain Crunch and me were one. And you know, this is back in the '80s. And for me, now that I'm almost 50, I can tell you, I was just using food as a tool to survive, you know? And so if you're someone who feels that their hunger's out of control, I want to tell you straight up, it's not your fault. You know, during COVID it's not even a matter of having, cravings or any of that, because I know we don't have cravings. I mean, if you're a certain age, I don't care, even at 20, 25, you've had enough ice cream and sugar and candies and Twizzlers and la la la la la goes on and on and on that you're not craving just sweets. I mean, if you are, then maybe you're new to the world and you're a true baby. But if you are in your 20s and you're an adult, I can tell you, you're just hungry. It's not cravings. And if you feel like this hunger is out of control in your life, I want to challenge you right now with this third law of knowing what to ask to make that your ask. Because if you can really dial in your hunger by knowing that you want to control it, I can tell you, you're at the right place. This podcast, this show is really about giving people the greatest health possible, greatest freedom, that confidence. But I'll tell you, 90% of the time it is about hunger control because we think we're hungry and we're just sad. We're bored. It was kind of like me as a kid, you know, I was just lonely. And so food becomes our best friend during COVID-19. It's in the refrigerator, it's in the pantry, it's everywhere. And so we go to it to feel good. And so what I want to challenge you to do on today's podcast is to ask yourself, what do I want? If it could come to anything, to asking big, what do I want to ask the world, myself to do? And so we'll get to that in a second here. Now I will tell you that there's an affirmation I want to say to you right now that's going to give you this edge. And then we're going to talk about it a little further so you can actually text me today what it is you want to ask, uh, of yourself. All right, so here's the affirmation. It says, I know what to ask. It's simple. Say it with me. We're gonna say it 3 times right now. Stand tall, shoulders back. Say this with me. Say, I know what to ask. Say it again. I know what to ask. One more time. I know what to ask. By simply acknowledging that you know what to ask for, you give yourself that advantage, that confidence. And I'm going to tell you, I'm going to whisper in your ear right now: is it hunger control? Is it maybe the ability to exercise better? Now, exercise actually, oddly enough, can help you stop hunger. A lot of people think, oh, it's going to make me hungry. Well, depends if you're doing it for 20 hours, but, uh, you know, most of my clients do short workouts celebrities included, and you don't need that. So what is it that you want? Is it exercising better? Is it gaining control of your appetite? Is it understanding that your own mindset is what can stop you, right? Like we've talked about that, and you want a positive mindset. Is that what you want to ask for? So say it one last time with me. We're going to say it one last time. I know what to ask. Say it with me one more time. I know what to to ask. And I want to challenge you right now, right this very second, to text me the answer to what it is you want. Because by doing it, it's going to make the grooves of your motivation, of your mindset, get stronger. Text me right now at area code 424. That's an LA number up in Malibu. 424-228-9548. That's my texting community number where you and I can text between each other. It's really, really cool. I hope you'll sign up by simply texting me. Let me know what you want.
