In this solo podcast episode, Jorge Cruise motivates listeners to improve their wellbeing through a simple weekend challenge centered on morning exercise. He references his recent interview with fashion‑designer and fitness advocate Steven Peeler (episode 165) and stresses the importance of an "8‑minute" morning movement routine as a quick biohack for mood, energy, and overall health. Cruise recounts his early career breakthrough co‑authoring a book with Tony Robbins, his long‑standing relationship with Robbins, and his participation in the virtual "Unleash the Power Within" seminar, highlighting the fire‑walk experience as a metaphor for overcoming fear. He shares a personal story about his mother’s death in 1998, her advice about surrounding oneself with the right people, and his appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show that same year, linking these events to his lifelong passion for fitness. Cruise emphasizes that exercise boosts endorphins and serotonin, tones the body, and serves as a mental‑health tool, echoing Peeler’s philosophy that morning movement can transform mental health. He concludes with a direct call to action for listeners to try the weekend challenge, invites questions via email (Jorge@JorgeCruise.com), and wishes the audience a purposeful weekend.

All right, happy Friday night, guys. It's Jorge Cruise. I did episode 165 this week, and episode 165 was the buddy of mine, his name is Steven Peeler. Hopefully you guys saw the podcast. If you didn't, check it out because I think it's going to give you a strategy that not only for me has kept me feeling great at 53. You know, I started my career in 2001 as an author, wrote my first book with my buddy Tony Robbins. He wrote the introduction to the book, and I can tell you my life has never been the same. And now that I'm 53, I can tell you if I don't use exercise in the morning, as the book says, 8 minutes in the morning, right guys? I can tell you I don't feel good the rest of the day. And I'll tell you another secret. If it's midday or like evening, like tonight, I'm actually attending an event with Tony virtually. He's in New York and he's doing this thing called Unleash the Power Within, which is an amazing seminar. The people in New York that did it did a firewalk last night. I've done that a few times already over the course of knowing Tony more than 30 years. And I can tell you It's about overcoming fear and obstacles and giving you strategies to feel good. And I can tell you, the number one strategy I learned when I was in my 20s from Tony, which got me from going from political science to, like, health and wellness, was understanding that emotion, how we feel, is determined by motion more than anything else. It's the quickest biohack to changing how you feel, more than any medication out there you can take for antidepressant more than any other thing you can smoke, do whatever, drink, uh, exercise, guys. And you can do it, and it doesn't require a gym. You can use a gym. I love a gym. You can go on a walk, you can do yoga, you can do anything. And I'll tell you the reason I got involved in this more than anything else, and I haven't told the story in a long time, but back in 1998, uh, my mom passed away in February, and it was tough on me, uh, because I saw her health deteriorate. And that was kind of the quintessential thing that for me accelerated my passion really for doing what I'm doing today. My mom told me on her deathbed, and she passed away on February 5th, it was 1998. She told me, "Jorge," and she only spoke really Spanish, but she said it in Spanish to me, this idea that if you want to be successful in life, you got to be with the right people. And for me, I didn't know who that would be, but she did. And when I was in high school, we used to watch the Oprah Winfrey Show together. And she challenged me back then, this is back in 1998, to go out there and get on the Oprah Winfrey Show as a kid. And I can tell you, she passed that day on February 5th, '98. And in October of that same year, and it aired in November, I was on the Oprah Winfrey Show. And I can tell you, my passion for fitness was there, but I needed like that, what do you call it, kind of like challenge, you know? So I want to be that for you right now. I know I'm not your family. I'm not maybe more than a friend or a coach. Maybe you've been following me since 30 years ago. Maybe you're like, Like, who is this guy? So you can Google me, you probably know who I am. You're on my YouTube channel, you're on my Spotify, you're on my Apple. But regardless, I can tell you for someone who's 53 and has been through a lot in his life, exercise for me has been that go-to every single time to really change how I feel. Not only do you like bolster your endorphins and serotonin levels, which are drugs, happy pills if you will, to feel great all day, but more importantly, you just tone your body. Your body feels alive. And I can tell you, that's the key to it all, and feeling great all day is everything. And if you watch episode, my buddy Steven Peeler, he's a fashion designer in Los Angeles, fitness fashion designer, uh, his methodology is what I love even more than his clothes. And that is that idea that mental health is something that you can change through exercise. And he does it in the morning as well. So if you need some inspiration this weekend, guys, that's why I'm making this video here on a Friday night, is for whether you see it on Saturday or Sunday, I can promise you it's going to change how good you feel. All right guys, let me know if you have any questions. You can always email me at Jorge@JorgeCruise.com. I look forward to hearing your comments. Peace and purpose, guys. Take care. Have a great weekend. Bye.
