I Exercised For ONLY 10 MINS Everyday For a Week + WHAT I EAT! (are short workouts effective?)

Julia does 10-minute workouts every day for a week and logs what she eats. Short sessions boost consistency and work for busy days, but building muscle needs longer, weighted training. She tries HIIT, glute activation, and a lot of rice cakes.

Exams and finishing off school has been on people's top priority, and with this countless studying, finding time to work out can be a hassle. It's either a good grade or a good workout, but as you guys all know, moving your body is essential for better grades and overall health. And would you guys believe me if I say even 10 minutes of working out will do wonders? 10 minutes is more than enough to get you the results you've been so tempted to achieve. Today I did Growing in an Ass 10-minute intense full body workout and had no rest, so I was jumping from one move to the other in a blink of an eye. It was pretty crazy, but I enjoyed it so much, especially since I was dripping in a lot of sweat by the end of it. If you want workouts that will get you sweaty and happy in an instance, then short workouts are definitely the way to go, 100%. Here's the thing, I feel with longer workouts it's a lot easier to distracted. Sometimes I find myself checking my phone, taking a longer rest period, running to the bathroom, or my sister or parents end up showing up and ruining the whole vibe. So with this 10-minute workout, I didn't have time for anything other than working out. So quickly, it's been officially 10, 10 minutes, and wow, I feel sweaty. Okay, so this what I eat in a week is probably gonna be the most realistic on my channel. It's not gonna have any fancy recipes or desserts that take too much work. In reality, I'm a very lazy person. I just don't have time nor want to create something spectacular. My off-camera what I eat in a weeks are filled with lots of snacking. And surprisingly, if I'm not recording, I never make nourish bowls or any other like super aesthetic lunches. Instead, I replace that with loads of snacks, and that's kind of my whole diet: a big breakfast, small lunch, lots and lots of snacks, and a big dinner. When will I ever be the man hanging around with people who will never understand? When it came to choosing workouts, I genuinely thought I'd have a hard time finding ones that are only 10 minutes, especially workouts that target specific body parts like glutes, legs, and arms. But this was very oblivious on my side. As follow-along workouts have been dominating YouTube over the past year, and I'm sure I'm gonna find a lot of 10-minute workouts on the web. Recently, I've stumbled upon this article that read, "Why 10 minutes of exercise per day is enough to get you results." What kind of clickbait is that? How am I supposed to believe it? The minimum workout time for me is 30 minutes, and even that isn't enough for some. I've asked you guys to tell me how long your daily workout routine is, and a big percentage of you said 40 minutes to an hour. So how is 10 minutes supposed to be effective? But the thing is, they really are, especially if you're low on time or energy. And as exam season is here, I thought what better way than to do this challenge right now to reassure all of you that even 10 minutes of exercise is better than none. Hi guys, so we recently went to the store and we bought a lot of rice cakes. I have never tried any other flavor of rice cakes besides the original, so the first rice cake flavor I'm gonna try today is the Butter popcorn flavor right here. Mmm. The next flavor we're gonna try is the caramel corn flavor. That is so good. These are like my new favorite snack now. So last flavor we're gonna have is the white cheddar. In terms of savory rice cakes, this is probably my favorite, and then For the sweet rice cakes, I actually like the chocolate one. For dinner, I had grilled cheese, which is literally my favorite thing to make besides breakfast foods. I have grilled cheese for dinner like 3 times a week, and it's kind of an obsession. I also had some cauliflower on the side with chicken, leftover rice, and a salad. And then for dessert, I had a few pieces of dark chocolate. Today I decided to try out a new fitness channel I recently discovered called Selimar. Her channel has been killing it, and I see more and more people doing her workouts. I've surprisingly never tried her workouts before, so this Burn 200 Calories 10 Minute Intense HIIT was such a great introduction to her channel. It was so fun and made my day start off on a good note. For breakfast today, I decided to make oatmeal, super basic, but the secret ingredient was a Bill Bar. If you're new to my channel, beware, you're going to be seeing lots of Bill Bars in my videos. They're absolutely my most favorite protein bar ever, not only because they have up to 20 grams of protein, but because there's also a wide selection of flavors to choose from. They are just the definition of a guilt-free chocolate bar. I've been getting a lot of questions about motivation, how to stay consistent with working out, especially at home. I understand how you feel. As much as I love fitness, there are just days where I can't seem to get my ass off the couch onto the mat. I'll give you all a life-changing tip right now. Instead of setting a goal to work out for, let's say, 45 minutes, I tell myself I'll only work out for 10. And you know what ends up happening? My 10-minute workout then turns into a 30 to 40-minute workout just like that. Sometimes setting the bar low is the way to go. That rhymed. Overall, if you don't have time to work out for a long time, then instead of choosing not to work out at all, try 10 minutes. It's going to make you feel a lot better and you're still going to get this sense of accomplishment throughout the day. Of course, this wouldn't be a full week of working out without a glute day. I'm still trying to go easy on my body, so instead of using dumbbells for this quick booty day, I used my handy resistance band. To be honest, this 10-minute glute workout felt more of a glute activation/warm-up. One of the many things I've learned from this challenge is that not all workouts are destined to be 10 minutes, and I feel if you're working out to build muscle in your legs, booty, quads, then going for those longer workout sessions is going to be more effective. However, HIIT training and Tabata workouts can all be done in less than 10 minutes, so if you love both of those type of workouts, then you'll find just 10 minutes worth it. But if you prefer more weighted workouts using equipment, doing reps and sets slowly and accurately, then I feel like 10 minutes isn't going to do the trick. For today's breakfast, I made a sunny yellow smoothie bowl to match the beautiful weather we're having. I just can't wait for summer, you guys. Today was another big snacking day. First, I had, I had a lot of rice cakes today, and then I ate lots of chocolate. First, I had a Smarties milk chocolate bar, and then some dark chocolate, and then I had a Japanese cheesecake. Lots of desserts, as you guys can see. And then for For dinner, we had dumplings, sushi, and pizza. Ever since watching K-dramas, I've been really intrigued by Korean foods and just Korean culture in general. I even started using chopsticks instead of a fork, and it makes eating so much more fun. And also, I know two words in Korean: "Gamsahamnida" and "Annyeonghaseyo." Both Korean and French are so, so fascinating. After learning French, I'm definitely going to be learning Korean. It's just such an amazing language. Mm, mm, mm. And then to end off the day, I had an almond butter cup. At the beginning of the challenge, my prediction was that I'll be able to do any workout in 10 minutes, whether it's full body, arms, or legs. 10 minutes would be enough. But in my opinion, while sure workouts are super great, especially if you're a beginner, have exams, a super packed schedule, or just don't have the energy or motivation for a long workout, however, if you are seeking to get those gains, then upping your workout time is going to help speed up those results. So it's really up to you. I personally wouldn't want to do 10 minutes of working out every single day. I'm a very active person and 10 minutes is just not enough for me, especially in the summer. I can't picture myself working out for 10 minutes, but during school and exams I can definitely see myself doing a quick 10-minute workout so I can get it done and over with and continue with my studies. Also, as I previously stated, if you're new to fitness and want to build this consistent exercise habit, then 10 minutes is a really great starting point. If you think about it, 10 minutes is not a lot. And if you're having trouble staying disciplined, then 10 minutes is a really great way to feel like you've worked your hardest, but also in a very short period of time. It's not going to feel like a dreaded workout session. I left my keys at my cousin's house. I hope you guys enjoyed this video and found it both motivating and valuable. We've learned that moving your body, whether it's for 10 minutes or an hour, is going to make you feel fresh and productive either way. If you still haven't worked out today, then take this as a reminder to go and appreciate what your body can do for you. Remember, you are loved, you're worthy, and I hope you guys have a really great day.
